"I will never stop raving about our Velocity Dance Center Family. My daughter started attending Velocity’s Dance with Me class in January when she turned 2. Our first class was… hard. My daughter has a speech delay which in turn makes her struggle with communication, direction, and instruction. Combining her struggles along with the normal toddler “squirrel” brain, it made for a challenging class. Also to add, she had severe separation anxiety and made me hold her the entire class. Although I felt embarrassed that it seemed my daughter was the only one causing a disruption and not following along, Ms. Kelli met my daughter exactly where she was. She continued to speak to my daughter, lead her, and let Eliza participate anyway she felt comfortable. She never forced her to do anything she didn’t want to do. If she wanted to sit in my lap and just watch, that was completely fine! Slowly after each class, Eliza began to participate more and more. She smiled, laughed, and started to acknowledge and be sweet to her fellow classmates. After a few months, my daughter is excited to walk into class, dance, play, engage, and even holds hands and dance with Ms. Kelli! Velocity has helped my daughter grow emotionally, socially, and develop better fine motor skills! My favorite part is seeing her so happy and glowing in class! Thank you, Velocity, for meeting my daughter exactly where she was and is to help her “Bloom.” If anyone is looking for a place to bring your kiddos for fun, engagement, and the patience they need as an individual, Velocity is the place to be! "My 2 daughters have attended Velocity Dance Center for several years and have been part of the company/competition group for most of their time at the studio. They have several more years left before they graduate high school and I look forward to the improvements and changes they will receive in the years to come from this incredible dance studio. It's very difficult to explain in words the valuable benefits my girls have received by being part of this dance family but, their philosophy is very well rounded! They not only teach various dance techniques but, everything else that comes with dancing competitively: stage awareness, confidence, teamwork, self control, treating others with respect, encouragement and the list goes on. The entire staff is exceptional! Although each teacher or staff member brings something special to the team, collectively, they have incredible vision and exceptional talents! Very well organized, incredible schedule awareness, automatic payments every month, organized family events outside of studio time and definitely a family style environment.
