"Great little 9 hole golf course located in a beautiful area. Friendly staff, family friendly, maintained very well, and quite a tough course for those looking for a challenge. Tee that ball up and get ready for a day of smiles and laughs. You're gonna have a blast."
"Delightfully wonderful and deceptively hard in spots and an overall enjoyable 9-hole course that you get in 18 by going around twice. Found myself saying, "if I play this course again, I will do xyz different on this hole..." well I did and shot better, full 4 strokes the 2nd time around. Staff is all friendly and personable, make you want to come back! From the photos, you would think the course is not in good shape, but it actually is. The fairways are cut and the greens felt like they rolled at PGA speed. They were nice and smooth and rolled true. My favorite thing of all was the course pets. I could have sworn the 2 in the golf cart belonged to the young lady when they actually belonged to the course. Go out...you will enjoy it!"
"Damn I love this course. Awesome little 9 hole. Decent elevation changes. Also wide open for errant shots. Number 8 is a lay up hole for the best golfers. At par 36 ots a decent challenge. Family owned, on site, it's a must do for an okie golf enthusiast."
"Buncombe Creek Golf Course is my new definition of a hidden gem. From value to playability to course health to staff, everything about my experience at this course far exceeded my modest expectations of a nine-hole course in the middle of farmland. Solo, I played the nine-hole course twice for $30 in three hours. I'm currently a high handicap and thoroughly enjoyed this course. As it was my first visit, I wasn't sure what to expect. The only time that proved disadvantageous was the opening hole, which I tripled after skulling a pitch over the green. Only after I finished the hole did I see that Hole 1 is also Handicap 1. So don't let that deceptively hard opening hole deter you from enjoying this course. Particular highlights for me were the downhill par 3 third hole, the dogleg right par 4 fifth hole (cutting that dogleg is fun and worth the risk), and the long par 5 seventh that has a sharp dogleg right at the end. The seventh hole is a doozy, with a narrow landing area for your driver. I played driver the first time I played the hole and lost my ball just a bit to the left. On my second time around, I hit a hybrid which didn't go all that far—but it did go straight. Then I (surprisingly) hit my hybrid a couple of more times and very nearly made par on a hole that I tripled on my first attempt. Oh, and splitting your drive between the two trees on the ninth fairway is an enjoyable way to finish your round. There's a reason this course is ranked so well here—because you get much more than what you pay for. P.S. The welcoming dogs are awesome!"
"So glad I stopped in. This place is tucked away but worth the drive. The people running the place were amazing. The course was beautiful. Starting in open pastures and winding into a beautiful treeline. A couple tough driving holes. I even paired up with a local named Jimmy toward the end of my round. The gentleman gave some great info regarding local golf in the area. Can't wait to make my way back out to this piece of heaven on earth. Please give this place a shot. Will B"
