"We were there for an appointment with the optometry clinic. Every person that we met was very helpful, polite, and cheerful."
"My wife is a military veteran and they have made it incredibly difficult to not only give credit to her JST, but also to use her GI Bill. We will be transferring to a different school at the end of this semester. Kind of abysmal how they can neglect a former service member to this degree. Would not recommend this school to anyone who is a former service member."
"NSU is the worst school I've ever been to. I was so excited and happy when I got accepted, but the smiles were all fake. When you ask for help, the teachers seem to pin the blame on you for not understanding. Also, they don't work with people who have disabilities. I have a learning disability that is very difficult for me, when I ask for help I get told "how do you not understand something so simple?" NSU has made me feel horrible for even being there every single day."
"NSU is nice, small school. I'm currently taking a gap year, but I'm a student at Northeastern State. I started in Spring 2020 and started my gap year (which is now looking to be a gap two years) after the Spring 2021 school year. I'm not sure if I'll return or not if or when I decide to go back to school. Regardless, I love the campus and I love Tahlequah (even if there's not that much to do there). If I DO decide to return, hopefully it'll be with more confidence and less social anxiety so I can have plenty of fun continuing my education at NSU as well as living in Tahlequah."
"Really terrible experience with the staff. An hour late to their own meetings. Scrolling on the phone while I talk (about how my father died when I was 19). I took my time and money elsewhere, and I suggest you do as well. These guys have their noses in the sky and big heads. I promise, you can do better. I got my Bachelor's and moved forward, despite how I was treated at this institution, another put me in a leadership society, opening me up to notable alumni and scholarships. If you are grown, have children, and work this is absolutely not for you. This is for children with financial aid and athletic scholarships."
