Reviews of Copperfield Apartments
"This apartment complex has been the absolute worst that I’ve ever lived in. The water gets shut off almost daily due to issues. They try to be sneaky with their lease terms, trying to give me an early eviction date. And for no reason. My car has gotten broken into twice over the course of four months. And they do nothing about it. The security they hired is not reliable, and they never delivered on the Cameras that they promised months ago. The apartment complex is falling apart, and the price is not worth it. There are better apartment complexes in the area for around the same price. Do not apply here. Anyone deserves better."
"Started an application with them 1/11. Never finished it. Even though I NEVER submitted or even paid a fee to submit my application, they submitted it themselves (without my permission). They pulled my credit and now trying to charge me $150 for an apartment I did not personally submit or apply for. The manager admitted to me another girl Paige in there "fixed" something for me and submitted it. I also never agreed to her submitting anything for me at any point. They are being sneaky and need to fix their practices. The current realty management on their page is incorrect too so you cannot contact corporate. So be very careful if applying, don't even start the application if you are not 100% sure about them. The manager was very snarky and said that I would've submitted it anyway so they just fixed it for me. They don't know what I was going to do, so admitting that you would just do it for me without permission is not okay. They did it to get money out of me."
"I applied there with my gf, we didnt even finish the application, the lied on it to finish it and charged me 150 move out fee, when ive never lived there, this is stupid"
"I have lived here for over 2 years and before the take over I was ready to move out of here. They have an exceptional team here from the office to the maintenance team. Bill is always friendly and treats the tenants like a priority. Things have never looked so good here keep it up!!!!"
"Copperfield Apartments is the worst of worse. I’ve lived here for more than 2 years of my life with this apartment complex. It was my first apartment complex and first apartment of my life. It has a pool. That is nice. It’s a quiet area. That is also nice. But here’s a funny joke, how long does it take for a maintenance worker to fix a kitchen light? 6 months until the lease expires. When I called the higher ups that’s when everyone started to scrabble, trying to gaslight me that they NEVER received all the maintenance requests, all the calls from the office. And when I went to the manager, told them I didn’t want to pay the increase with the broken apartment still. They specifically told me “well, you already pay that amount with your rent already. I don’t see why you can’t pay for more”. Never and I mean never have I felt so humiliated for living in such a disgusting and barely habitual place. December of 2022 my bathroom sink is pushing up water and is clogged. Said that they have to order a new sink… and never showed up. I put in THREE requests in and it wasn’t until I called when black stuff started pushing up to my sink. Then they ran to fix it. IN FEBRUARY. AND they already had a sink the whole time. But then, I walk into my bathroom and water is everywhere, spilling from the pipes of the sink. Called the emergency line, told me I had to wait because they were eating dinner. Next was when my Bathroom shower knob fell off, I had no idea what to do and called the office to get it done because I need to shower. When did they fix it? Four days later. And that was my SECOND month here the first year. A couple of months back I was feeling ill, hard of breathing, constant headaches, and then one night, I get covered in hives and went to the emergency room. I was confused, I’m not allergic to anything. No one knew the reason why and neither did I. Until I realized that my vents and apartment was covered in mold. I went to the office, explained the situation. It took them a couple of days to get it done but left a moldy mess all over for me to clean up, they also did NOT clean the metal grill on it, placed it right back still covered in light mold. Then, dishwasher breaks in February of this year. The top fell off, water doesn’t go down. I put in TWO maintenance requests. I had to go to the office ONCE MORE. And then, they come. Gaslight me once more about not receiving the first referral, then say that they won’t replace it til next month. Same week? Jump the gun, disappear. Then new people take over management. I don’t mind, I get hopeful. A new management is great! Wrong. Not only do I have to pay my rent, you can get charged 10-30$ to pay it. Why do I have to PAY A FEE THAT LARGE to PAY THEM? I already pay quite a lot for the box that I have and you want more from me? It makes no sense. Now, the dishwasher that hasn’t been fixed since June, waiting since August, water just starts dripping from the dishwasher. At least the maintenance was there same day. Mold continues to come back even after the cleaning and same month I move out I get horribly sick to the point of throwing up. Mold sickness. Again. Run RUN RUNNN from this place as fast as you can. Unless you want to spend $800+ for unfair treatment, broken apartments, expensive fees, and mold sickness."
