"If I could give BCBS of OK a zero I certainly would. For the past 3 years they deny to pay for a prescription for Adderall for several months. After I pay out-of-pocket it gets approved. He has been taking this same drug for OVER 20 years. It was approved for 2023 until March. BCBS of OK SUCKS! Narcolepsy does not go away! It is ridiculous to require a physician override EVERY YEAR at random times!"
"I pay these people a big chunk of money out of my paychecks and for the last 5 years I’ve had them through my work and 1st problem among many is my daughter needed a special antibiotic and they didn’t wanna approve it, even though it was the only thing that would get rid of the infection, they wanted me on top of the thousands of dollars I spend with them pay 500 for an antibiotic because they didn’t wanna pay for it, I had to jump through all kinds of hoops me plus the doctor did to get them to approve this two weeks later with my 5 year old having an infection. Then I was going to a program not long ago that I had group and counseling and was receiving medication and because they didn’t wanna pay for the counseling and group they stayed harassing the business and telling them they needed to ask me to go to a place that didn’t have all that and I could just receive medication again because they don’t wanna pay for it, yet they’ll happily take my hard earned money, talk about a worthless company, the worst, I will be looking for outside of work insurance, do not recommend these people to nobody ever. I would give - 5 stars or 0 stars if I could."
"EDIT: I cannot think of a worst case manager than Mary Ann in Tulsa. No bedside manner, couldn’t answer any of my questions, then straight-up lied about my appeal. I’m starting to think I’d be better-off uninsured. One star is too good, BCBS is literally the absolute worst. Do not expect them to work for you. Do not expect them to do anything on your behalf. They are literally out to make money off of you and will deny claims out of hand just because they think you're going to be too tired and sick to appeal."
"Let me tell you guys a little story: In August I got a bill from an doctors visit saying that Blue Cross has denied my claim. I call up Blue Cross tell them what's up and they inform me that even though they've been AUTODRAFTING MY BANK ACCOUNT every single month that my coverage was cancelled in March and that the healthcare marketplace had requested the cancellation. After 10 minutes on the phone the informed me that no, the marketplace did not request the cancellation and that it was an error. I've waited patently for 3 months for the error to be fixed but I still sit here without health coverage and without reimbursement for the money that i've paid in while I didn't have insurance. I've called several times asking for updates, and I never get anything. A few weeks ago when I called they told me that no it was in fact the marketplace that requested the cancellation and that i need to call them. I call the marketplace they tell me no, we haven't sent anything, BCBS has sent the cancellation. So I call back to Blue Cross and they tell me yeah it was definitely a mistake on our part and not sure why someone told me that it was the marketplace. At one point a lady name Shirley was helping me. She was nice and reassured me that she will get to the bottom of it and promised me that she prided herself on being a person of her word and she would call me back that week. She never called, i called several times in a 2 week period but she wouldn't call me back, until i threatened to call the Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner, then miraculously I got a call back but she was no help. I have spent probably 20-30 hours on the phone trying to get my coverage back. This is absolutely ridiculous."
