"Update: I keep receiving bills every other week from Dean McGee. But in fact, Dean McGee owes me a refund for over payment since Oct of 2023 which they've been avoiding to issue a refund. Was told in Dec call with Lisa at billing and she told me it'll take 30-45 days to issue a refund. But i have yet to see a refund after 60+ days later. I keep calling them and their staffs can't help anything or even provide me with when I should get my refund. Why do patients have to go through this billing disaster due to their system outage and incorrect billing and incompetence from the staffs? Terrible all around with the service I received at Dean McGee and I'm stating all the facts here for people to be aware of and avoid going here. I provided my insurance card on the day of my appointment at the clinic before I saw the doctor. I was told by the front desk that their system was down and they made a copy of my insurance. I also waited more than an hour to see a technician to get my eye exam followed by seeing the doctor for less than 5 minutes. Then, I received bills from them 3 months later which I made a payment of a son as i for the bill in the mail. However, after I made my payment on Oct 26 and had a talk with my husband who noticed there was no insurance payment on the bill, he suggested I called the billing office to find out and confirm on how much insurance had paid. So, I called the billing office on Nov 8 and that's when I found out that they didn't file my insurance at all for the charges. I talked to the lady named, Lisa, who couldn't find the payment at all even after I had provided the payment confirmation number to her. She had to research and call me back 15 minutes later to even locate the payment I had made 13 days prior. Then, she told me they'll have to file a claim with insurance and issue me a refund of the amount I had already paid 60 days later. So, I had explained to her that I provided my insurance card at the clinic and asked why they didn't file the claim. So, Lisa told me they found my insurance information and will file a claim with my insurance company which would take 30-45 days. I requested for a refund of the payment I had already made if they were going to file the claim from my insurance and was denied of the refund. She then told me she will let me talk to a supervisor whose name was Brittany. Brittany blamed me saying that it was both parties' fault by not submitting the claim to the insurance. So, I asked how is that my fault for not submitting the claim to insurance when I provided my insurance card to the clinic front desk before I received my service. And she argued that she can't see what I did and can't confirm. So, I said explain to me how is it that you were able to locate my insurance information now without asking that information from me when I called. She was beyond rude, unprofessional and incompetent and talked over me the whole time. She had bad attitude through the roof with extremely rude, unhelpful behavior just so that they could hang onto the $209 payment that I had made before I realized they didn't file a claim with my insurance."
"I gave one star because that’s as low as it goes, Dr. Hester was far below 1 star review. I had cataract surgery there and now have large floater in my right eye. He has refused to see me again and blocked me from his office. What a quack."
"I went here for many years for Botox for eye twitching. They would just load me up with Botox & send me packing. Never once tried to figure out why I was twitching. This place lacks empathy and care for their patience. After 10 years of twitching I finally have some relief. 800mg of magnesium, dr Eric berg electrolyte powder twice a day, 50 iu vitamin d a week & eating lots of fruits and vegetable. These doctors won't tell u that ur problem is a vitamin deficiency"
"I am fully impressed by the staff and Doctor's at Dean McGee Eye. I had a retinal detachment surgery and Dr. Was excellent I was worried I would loose my vision after the surgery, I have regained almost all vision. I still need Cataract surgery with will help my vision alone. Thank you Dr Bradford and your great staff."
"My boyfriend's visit took over an hour for an eye exam. They charge a $30 'refraction fee' that they say isn't covered by any insurance policies, when you can get a $30 eye exam without insurance at a lot of other places. Their optical shop didn't have any affordable glasses, so we took the prescription elsewhere. The prescription was wrong. We called Dean Mcgee and said that the prescription caused blurred vision on one side, but the secretary was rude, wouldn't listen, and told us to come to the optical shop to have it fixed. How would they even retest vision and fix glasses bought elsewhere? She just rudely cut my boyfriend off when he tried to explain the situation. We are just going to pay out of pocket elsewhere for another eye exam, because I wouldn't even go back to Dean Mcgee for free."
