"I visited Shoe Carnival during a period of intense winter weather and I was shocked to see how cold the employees were. They were shivering and rubbing their hands, and they looked miserable. When I asked why they weren’t wearing jackets, they told me that corporate told them they were not allowed to wear jackets due to company policy. This is unacceptable and inhumane. How can a company that sells shoes and boots expect their workers to endure such harsh conditions without proper clothing? This is a clear example of corporate overreach and mistreatment of employees. I will not be shopping at Shoe Carnival again until they change their policy and treat their employees with respect and dignity."

"The store is clean and they have a great selection of shoes but I’m really concerned with the work conditions of the staff that I encountered. It is freezing outside and it is cold in the store and apparently they are told not to wear jackets. I will not be shopping here again just based off of how the employees are treated."

"Upon inquiring about a job for my daughter while shopping. In conversation with an employee I expressed to them that needed to bundle up due to the cold weather. As was told to me they are not allowed to wear jackets in the store but simply a long sleeve. After hearing that it made me rethink having my daughter work somewhere and the employees health are of no concern. What other things may be set in place at this time as far as company policy that I will need to read on before allowing my daughter to be subjected to something such as this may seem small but if she were to get sick and lose her job being gone would be such a waste when it could’ve been avoided with the dress code"

"I have a concern, while shopping in this store I noticed a couple of the young ladies were cold, I’m sure because of the doors continually being opened by customers, I suggested that they wear a jacket for warmth and I was told that wasn’t allowed! Please make me understand why you would make ur employees freeze and potentially get sick! If you don’t like the jackets they wear then purchase them jackets with your logo on them! This makes no sense to me! It’s unfortunate that you don’t care more for your employees!"

"Huge selection of name brand shoes at great prices! From now on this is we're we'll shop first for shoes. The staff could be more attentive and helpful. Otherwise 5 stars!"
