"He is so smart, I came to him with no hope for anything. Talking to him it’s just a breath of fresh air, someone that is actually willing to help me and understand me instead of pushing medication. I went to REDROCK when I moved here about 16 months ago and the prescribing nurse would just look at me and say she was stumped and didn’t know what other medication to try since i had done them all….. So that was very discouraging and if I hadn’t found Dr Ellis then I don’t even know where I’d be mentally. He listens and engages, I feel very validated of my feelings and that right there will help anyone. He’s great, don’t hesitate to make an appointment! And the staff are always so stinking sweet!!"

"I have been seeing Dr. Ellis for two years. He is the only psychiatrist I have had that I feel really listens to me and asks for my input in my treatment. He also does not put me on more meds than I need to be on. He begins every appointment with "I'm here to listen" or "update me on what's going on.' "Dr Ellis has helped me immensely through my mental-health and holistic-health journey. When I first arrived in his care I was extremely unstable and sleep deprived. Instead of switching or strengthening my pre-existing prescription for antidepressants he used an "outside the box" non-addictive medication to calm me and help me sleep. Once I became more stable he suggested some tools I could self use and develop to help myself eradicate the emotional and mental causes of my current unpleasant experiences. He then graciously offered much wisdom and guidance as he stood by me while I went through this process and eventually weened off of all of my medication. I still have a ways to go, but largely thanks to Dr. Ellis and my own will to not give up I am now in a stable place and on a good path forward for my future.
