"Omni Med Grp, Sand Springs/Ascension Med Grp-St. John’s Sand Springs—- I used Omni 34 yrs prior to Ascension taking them over —- I was a patient age 19-53 (34 yrs) for most part was happy w med care under my physician, Dr. Curt Coggins, MD — for man yrs he’s only one I saw until approx abt 20 yrs he began to get overloaded w over abundance of new patients which prompted him to need assistance, in came Carla M. Newton, APRN, CNP at the pt, seeing her instead of “my” physician. Began seeing more of Carla Newton, APRN, CNP & less of Dr. Curt Coggins, MD, when was able to bk appt w him, was feeling hurried, rushed, less personal, caring & concern. Either 1/2 things occurred waiting past appt time/being rushed like heard of cattle to what felt like an allotted time to express what I was there for/needed medically & feel like # not a person & brushed aside. Not great feeling. Staff became rude, difficult to deal w & in end I made decision to leave/fire Omni w/o a wd to them (4) yrs ago 2019. There was a circumstance (4) years ago broke the camel’s back prompted me to walk away after (34 yrs as patient). Was when a wk prior to huge special event coming up in my life, I became very sick, needed to be seen by my physician or overflow, Newton, incidentally office still piling on new patients even she ended having an assistant to her! Anyway, I called office explained/expressed to receptionist I was very sick, needed to get meds due to important event in a wk that couldn’t be changed/canceled to be told no appts for wks, I requested to see Newton told same thing & also her Asst was full! That’s insane! Was told if needed to be seen I needed to go to ER/URGENT CARE! Isn’t pt to having your own physician to be able to get in to see them in reasonable timeframe & not have to continue to refer to (2) overflow people bc they’ve taken too many patients they can’t care for or even have time for esp prior existing patients that should have priority in 1st place!? I did go to Urgent Care, in fact, (3) times that wk prior to special event bc they weren’t hearing I was getting worse due to either not caring/listening. I couldn’t take certain meds due to a condition I have! I was at my wits end in frustration! I called (1) more time to get in still told no appts! Beyond ridiculous! Since I couldn’t change/cancel my special event still not feeling well/sick was filling a scrip from Urgent Care that is useless due to my condition but needed something so while waiting to be filled, grabbing last min things & phone ringing - it was Omni on a Fri- was Newton’s nurse not her overflow Asst-she was calling for Newton to see how I was!? REALLY!? None of them could/would get me in so I could get proper treatment & meds I needed, (2) days before special event & i’m sicker than all get out and has nerve to have her nurse call me, keep in mind still can’t/won’t make time for me which they know the drill w me & could’ve called in meds for me but neglected to so yeah, call rubbed me wrong way as in how dare call when you won’t take care of me properly medically knowing circumstance’s & me a patient for 34 yrs - leaving me hanging out to dry so to speak- it angered me & you can bet the nurse on other end def heard my grievances while I stood abt to lose my voice in isle in middle of the pharmacy! Not only that, let me add I let Dr. Coggins know how difficult it was for me to even get appts he told me when I called let staff know get me in asap only for msgs to be thrown away not given to him! When he spoke to Staff they dissed me more! I had, had enough!"
