"I was here no junk food I mean the food is not good but its what they are given to give you my woman there Right now and they treat her like a queen and give her own phone her own tv her own radio and I didn't get anything like that"
"The staff is very nice, but the place makes no sense. I was held there for two days to do nothing. I literally had five minutes of treatment & the rest of the time was spent in complete boredom. And all they serve is junk food. All day long. I saw a comment where someone said they were forced to eat it. I was definitely not forced to eat it, thank God. I would have been sick & even more depressed had I had to eat all that garbage. And the place was freezing! The beds are not comfortable & the water was always freezing. After my experience, I know I would never make it in prison! This is what that felt like."
"they truly do NOT care about your mental health. the staff will call you names like "no laces". if you care about a family member do not send them here. staff will laugh at you. serve you moldy and rotten food. someone was harming themselves and the staff stood there making jokes and said " its his fault" you want a pillow? too bad, want a blanket? here is a towel"
"Watched an old woman basically die - she was normal when I got there but after three days she got so bad she couldn’t walk and was peeing herself and ended up falling and hitting her head (took them three days to get her to the hospital) as a result of a fight that broke out. Watched another patient try to escape and get tackled so hard that he hit his head and had a seizure, and didn’t take him to the hospital. The patients were all super nice and I made friends there. The staff was nice to me, but I imagine others had different experiences. The food was hit or miss, not terrible but I wasn’t hungry while I stayed. The walls of my room were stained with gross liquid, floors were nasty, and the bathroom was nasty. The place is unkempt and not hygienic. I came in to Norman Regional for deep lacerations, got lots of stitches, and was sent here and the staff did not know how to take care of them. There wasn’t really a good nurse there either. Do not come here unless you need detoxing or shelter. The only plus from my experience here was that I easily got medications that worked. After I was let out, the treatment plan sucked and I was thrown into the wind. Do not recommend."
