"What you will experience in the PN program is nothing short of abuse- if they allow you to make it through. It is essentially rigged by the director. If she likes you and you bring them gifts then great! She literally believes she is the only person who can make you a nurse. Like any other cult leader- she'll dangle the thing you want most in front of you in exchange for your loyalty. In this case, a nursing license. She picks favorites and they are allowed to see their test results and do things normal students should be able to in order to succeed- then justifies it by saying there are journal studies proving it's legit (tho she never produced them). She has very deep-seated control issues. She surrounds herself with instructors who are "yes" people. If she decides she doesnt like you for whatever reason then she'll make everyday exhausting and make it impossible for you to progress. The instructors gladly take their shots at you too, bc as you'll learn, it’s a lawless land where all the nurses on the fringes of nursing end up to make you as bitter as they are. Any time you have to speak to them, its just another excuse to talk down to you, or be rude for no reason. They are not responsible adults and they smile like the cheshire cat when they see people cry and buckle under all the stress. They will play you and your fellow students against each other and watch in enjoyment. The students will gladly be nasty to you too even if you’re a stranger bc it’s almost like it’s a requirement to be on her good side. It’s so manipulative and just terrible. She once intercepted my request to test and told me I couldn't until "I promised to do what she said" (i have the email). They take anything personal you share with them and hold it against you. They will tell you that they are trying to make you a "good nurse" but its just abuse. It got to where I actually developed a mild PTSD and didn’t like going into rooms with instructors alone bc I didn’t know what they’d say to me. One day I actually had a mild panic attack and had to walk out of the room and then got in trouble. Even though the nurse should’ve been able to see what was happening but she was just too busy enjoying that I was struggling because of their abuse. Dont bother sharing with the superintendents though, bc it doesnt matter how much proof you give, for some reason, they side with the director instead of performing the audit i asked them to do. But, if they lack the emotional intelligence necessary to see through someone like that, then I can’t help that.Near the end, I realized they didn’t intend to let me finish the program and continued microaggressions daily. The day I withdrew I felt so much relief and knew it was the best decision. consider another program. One with people who are actual educators. If you're considering this program and want honest info, find me on social media and we'll chat. If you do choose this one, be very cautious.I have never met nastier people."
"The instructors and program director are phenomenal and want every student to succeed - not just pass the classes but to become the type of nurse you would want caring for your family members. The staff, instructors, and program director care about their students, not only as students and potential nurses, but also as people. I graduated from the program with the skills I needed to be a quality LPN. Nursing school is not for the faint of heart. This program is not easy but with self-discipline, work ethic, determination, and a few tears - it is possible. The program is designed to allow for success to those who are willing to put in the work. I am a better person and a successful nurse because of the dedication of the staff, instructors, and program director of the PN program. I highly recommend this program to anyone seeking to become an LPN and willing to put in the blood, sweat, and tears required to be a quality nurse."
"I’m speaking on be half of the El Reno campus, mainly the PN program. Let me start off by saying this program is not for the faint of heart, you gotta have tough skin, take positive criticism, and know what you are doing by learning and studying. Blood, sweat and tears went into this place but I made it through this program and if you put the effort in you can too. I was pregnant when I started this program (not an easy task while in nursing school) and they were very helpful, tried to accommodate my needs inside the class room and worked with me . These instructors want you to succeed that’s why they try to correct you and tell you the right way to do it. If I didn’t understand something they always tried to explain it or show me so I could understand. Reviewing they helped break it down, again they want you to succeed. If nursing was easy everyone would being doing it but it’s not, you are taking care of people and one little mistake can cost someone their lives. Personally, I love CVTC and can’t recommend it highly enough."
"Love every single one of my instructors. They are always very helpful when needed. As long as you show up on time and put in the hard work required you should be good."
"I love the parking lot! You can get in and out easily if your lost! Nice handicap signs the fire hydrant is red. Some of the lights are crooked. Trash dumpster needs to be emptied."
