La Petite Academy on Ottawa Place

"This is by far the worst daycare i have ever taken my children to. The director, Shelley Denson, is extremely unprofessional and seems to really enjoy bashing single mothers who are working hard to provide for their children. She also screams in front of the kids at the daycare. She lets her employees do whatever they please with children, including asking personal information about parents and their medical disorders and coercing children to lie. Shelley should be ashamed of the way she carries herself and her daycare. She will never succeed and i am truly worried about the children who still attend the daycare, and their well being as Shelley does not seem to be mentally stable after the way she screamed at me today. My children will never attend another La Petite facility as this is the second time i have had an issue with the facility."

"Love La Petite! I've had my son here since he was 10 months old and he's now 8. We moved a couple years ago and I just didn't find any daycare I was comfortable with so I drive out to Yukon everyday during the summer and breaks for him to be there. He loves it! The teachers are amazing."

"(Excuse the alias, this is Caridad gonzalez) So about a year ago I was in the market for a daycare that was above and beyond my standards for my new tiny human. With everything I had read or seen in the news about Daycare’s, I was really skeptical about finding my daughters second home (in reality it’s just that a second home). When my mother came across La Petite academy she loved it but I was still iffy, until I went for a tour. The teachers were actually interacting with the kids, the infants weren’t just in a crib bawling their little hearts out. From the oldest kid to the youngest, you can see they were actually happy to be there. Here it is almost a year now, and my tiny human LOVES her second home! The minute she sees the building her face lights up and she’s got a huge smile from ear to ear, doesn’t even shed a tear when I say “bye”. Everyone here knows each child and their parents by name, they worry just as much about your kids development and growth as you do. The teachers are wonderful, the ladies in the office are amazing and I couldn’t ask for a better daycare for my little one."

"My kids have been here for almost two years. They treat you and your babies like family. They have so much respect and love for your kids. Shelly has been the director since my kids have been going here. Krista has been her assistant the whole time. No major traffic when it comes to employment. Never ANY issues with the other kids harming my kids that couldn’t be explained (no random bruises and such that a teacher can’t explain) . When you walk in even the kids greet you and know your kids names. This daycare is literally like a giant family. You will never worry about your kids when they are here. My girls are 1 and 2.5 and my son starts tomorrow and I know he will be in great hands."

"With all the bad reviews I have read, they are all LIES, LIES AND MORE LIES. By far the best daycare. My son has been going there last year in a half. The staff are amazing, they are friendly, also caring and each one take care of not just my son but all the children like their own. They are very observant and hands on with everything and all the children. I get updates on their app all day from the time he checks in and checks out. To what exact activity the kids are doing, when he goes potty in diaper/ if he used the actual potty that day(since we are potty training), when he eats how much he eats and a detail of everything they feed him for breakfast, lunch and snack. I also get videos of activities and also pictures. Also in the app they send news letter of events that the daycare does. So I am always updated on what goes on. Hands down no doubt this is an awesome daycare I suggest all my friends sent their kids too."
