Baptist Home For Girls 13976 Anthony Lane, Madill, OK 73446
About the Business
Baptist Home for Girls, located at 13976 Anthony Lane in Madill, Oklahoma, is a nurturing and supportive environment for up to eight girls. The girls live in cottage-style homes with dedicated houseparents who oversee their day-to-day activities, meals, chores, and homework. They attend Madill Public Schools and are encouraged to participate in school and church activities.
The campus offers a range of amenities including a gymnasium, swimming pool, and activity buildings. The girls also benefit from an active and therapeutic animal program, participating in 4-H and FFA activities that teach responsibility, patience, and compassion.
Every member of the campus community attends a local Southern Baptist Church, where Bible studies and daily devotions are integrated into daily life. Discipline, responsibility, and accountability are emphasized through Biblical principles.
Upon arrival, each girl and her family receive a personalized plan of care to address their needs and help them develop healthier family dynamics. The ultimate goal of Baptist Home for Girls is to provide a Christian home environment until the girls can be reunited with their families, graduate from high school, or become independent and caring adults.
Established in 1903, Baptist Home for Girls has a long history of providing a safe haven for children in need. The campus was founded on the generous donation of 37 acres by former Oklahoma Governor Raymond Gary and his wife, Emma. Since then, the campus has grown and evolved to become a place where children find hope and support during challenging times.

"I lived there in 1982-1986. I learned how to become a Christian woman. I learn good quality, good family value. I loved my house parents as my own parents."
"An outstanding place. The student who live there are incredibly polite and love to work hard. The agriculture program is used as a learning tool to teach responsibility and work ethic. The Houseparents care deeply for the girls who live with them. Most importantly, each student is modeled the love of Christ daily."
"Beautifully landscaped with every amenity. Like a little town on its own. Very nice people."
"i was there for 2 months there was a lot of favoritism. One girl got to be on the house parents PHONE and she was on Instagram, snap chat ect i felt like they didn't really treat me fairly or some of the other girls but that's just me i guess? because no one else seems to agree . AND i though we where not ALLOWED to be on SOCIAL MEDIA!? and one of the HOUSE PARENTS SAID THEY HATED ME!!!!!! I WAS VERY ANGRY. Before i was going to express how i felt i was trying to call my mom and tell her what happened but the house parent saw that was angry and told me to tell her but i said no and she said if i don't tell her i cant CALL MY MOM! so i told her and then she said i cant call her and tell her so i waited and then i did tell her what was going on but then when i got on the phone to tell her the dad house parent was YELLING in the background saying no IM LYING and a bunch of other things that happened as well"
"I am a former resident of the girls home. I understand that some people have different experiences but I want to just comment on the "WARNING" review . The girls are automatically on probation when they get there. It only lasts like two weeks. After probabtion is over the house parents discuss your behavior over the past two weeks and they the decide what level you get...Each time you go up a level the more freedom you get. A lot of these new girls have been kicked out of school, been in fight, have eating disorders or no family. The girls have to EARN the HP trust... As far as the girls being on their phones and social media lol ....we didnt get that privliage. The only really trouble i had while at Cook Cottage was everyone in a cottage getting the credit for what only two out of eight of us girls did. I was a resident of cook cottage but I was not cook cottage. Other then that we had some great times. Pillow fights, movie nights, doing each others nail, hair , make up."
