"I go for the burger. It's probably the best burger I've had in the surrounding area, better than 5 Guys. The patty is crispy, yet juicy, with just the right thickness and size. I get the cheese burger with grilled onions and jalapenos and I'm happy with it every time. The fries are alright and could probably be cooked a little crispier. The cheeseburger combo gives you a good portion for a fair price. I'd go every week if I could. This is a great place to take your work buddies."
"The restaurant should be called Mo’s Famous Burgers. The cheese burger combo meal is the favorite here. A quarter pound or better beef patty, cooked on the flat top long enough to get a little crispness going, covered with a slice of cheese, with fresh lettuce, chopped onion and pickle wrapped in a soft burger bun. Add a generous portion of crinkle cut fries, and a refillable serve yourself soft drink to make for a bargain priced at $11.90. The restaurant is a neighborhood favorite and the burgers are the main event. A perpetual daily special. Many other reviewers have a long relationship with the other special, the Country Fried Steak Sandwich. The little old guy that owns this restaurant is named Mohamad. He has a small efficient operation in the kitchen. You can watch him work behind the steamed-up plexiglass partition. Looks like a mad scientist with his face mask on, intensely focused on creating a new species He shows the beef patties no mercy. When they start to sizzle on the hot flat top grill, he pushes down on the burger press with all of his weight (which ain’t much) driving the heat into the patty and ensuring that nice crisp finish. At the same time, he is watching the fryers closely as the raw potatoes evolve to a pleasant golden brown. Everything comes together as it has for thousands of times and a great meal is delivered to your table. Mohamad said the business was named Karl’s when he bought it and it had changed owners a couple of times before that, but it has always been Karl’s. He said it cost too much to get a new sign, so he just stuck with the name. Karl may have originally made the restaurant famous, but he is history. Mohamad has been keeping it famous. Let’s call it “Mo’s Famous Burgers” from now on. - Check out Spike S’s new compilation of burger joint experiences on Yelp, in the collection “Mustard not Mayonnaise.” There are only a few reviews now, but more are coming."
"Well i really wanted to like this place because it seemed like it would be a ma and pop shop with good food. Well the effort was there but it falls short. The store was supposed to open at 11 they finally showed at about 11:30. Then it was a one man show taking orders and eventually getting to cook the food. I did feel for the guy since it was just him but it lead to him not knowing how to operate his register and then when he figured it out going to cook the food. Finally another employee showed to help and things started rolling. They seemed to get orders out decently after they got back on track. The food looked good but was extremely generic. Almost as they stock the cheapest ingredients they can muster and sell to the public (reheated frozen food) should of realized this considering the food was out and nothing was prepped since the restaurant opened late. Unfortunately i had a bed experience and will probably not return i hope the famous isn't from being famously bad"
"Wow! Where have you been all my life? We've lived here for 10 years and bummed we just found out about this place. Mushroom swiss burger was delicious; thick, juicy, full of flavor. Gyro was equally delicious, great flavor. Crinkle cut french fries were crispy, cooked just right. The onion rings were amazing with a thin crispy breading, not that thick doughy type you find at so many places. Frankly, I can't wait to return! Highly recommend!!"
