"Most of the tables were dirty with trash and the floors were dirty with trash and spilled pop. We had to wipe off our own table. Service was slow. Trash in the trashcan was overflowing. Worst of all, I watched the kid working the fry machine reach into the cooked fries with a bare hand and grab a fry and eat it, didn't wash his hands afterwards."
"Look, it's McDowell's right? Everybody knows McDowell's. But every now and then you find a "special" McDonald's. A version of McDonald's that sets itself apart from the rest. Something about it, or maybe it's multiple things? Either way,it forces you to remember it. Forces you to talk about it with your friends and family. The McDonald's here in Sapulpa is NOT one of those special locations. The one in our town is SO SO VERY MID, that there is No Way it isn't being done on purpose. Right? Like it HAS to be on purpose. Ok so think about your last idk, 10 trips to Mickey's. It boils down to your interaction with the employee(s) and the "food" that you ultimately leave with. When the "food" has to have quotations around it cuz we all know that stuff ain't real food, right? "I'm telling you, right now! That food. Is NOT real! So you can eat that stuff they call food, or you can not eat that stuff they call food, but I am not going to stick around to be here for it." - Lady from the plane who saw a guy that wasn't real...? Anybody? Pshh anyway... So it's the "food", and it's the people. The "food" already sucks, so the ONLY hope of any salvation lies with the people. You will soon learn that there's just NO hope at all whatsoever period. I interacted with 2 people. Two. They both were giving like I borked up their day because I came into the restaurant (can we call it that? Or naw) that they work at. The first little dude I encountered at the counter instantly vibes hecka negative, so instead of ordering, I turned around and placed my order on the kiosk. When I was done I re-approached the counter and handed him my ticket with my order on it. Wait, I tried to hand it to him. He wouldn't take it from me, non-verbally insisting that I just lay it on the counter. I wanted to fold it up into a ninja star and throw it at him. He mutters my total under his breathe, I ask him, "what was that?" I can't even make this up when he repeated whatever he had said the first time, in the SAME under his breathe mumble rapper Gen screwball way he said it the first time. I wasn't about to ask him to repeat it again, but I wouldn't have to because he kindly pointed at the register where my total was displayed. (I already knew what it was btw, because I placed the order via the kiosk remember.) I think I just wanted to force him to perform part of his job function. Anyway, bleep bloop, I paid for my "food", asked for my cup, and proceeded to make my Dr. Pepper then I stood in this place next to another place where people sometimes sit, and I patiently waited for my "food". I'm not going to stop with the quotations. They are entirely necessary. Just about the time when I was about to approach the counter and ask about the status of my order, a girl slings a paper bag onto the counter and I doo doo you not, she , in one quick gesture, points at me, then points at the paper sack. Then turns around and walks away. This was my queue, that must be MY paper sack. Better yet, the contents of the sack were most likely the "food" I ordered. Welp, I hope so, cuz I grabbed it and left. It turned out to be my order too. Completely accurate as well. Low key, I was a little surprised, impressed maybe? So yeah, that was my visit to McDowell's on 3/22/24. Nothing out of the ordinary. Par for the course if you ask me. Anybody else have a fun story to tell about their visit to McDowell's in Sapulpa? If so, please do. Thanks for reading. Laters"
"Biscuit edge was tough this morning and the cheese wasn't melted cause the egg wasn't entirely hot just warm. There was a sliver of bacon not even enough to make a full half a slice. The second board was out in the drive thru when we pulled in, but no sign to warn us prior, so we ended up having to go around the building. We noticed a female employee looking at the board when we were trying to place an order. The girl over the intercom kept asking "Anything else?" after each item in our meal, which became annoying and the outdoor employee noticed. She jumped in after our brief pause trying to decide on our next item and told the intercom girl to quit asking every time "anything else" and allow us to look over the menu briefly. Bless that woman! There needs to be more that are taught on drive-thru etiquette! I don't know this woman's name but I would highly recommend giving her a promotion, raise, promotional raise, bonus, or something of the sorts. Thank you for your excellent service!"
"I have yet to experience a good visit at this location. Received food the other night, order was wrong. I gave the food back not once, not twice, but THREE times and finally got everything right. I noticed it was younger staff working, not sure if this is the reasoning for poor service. Staff could definitely use some training. Kids received food today. Ordered 3 breakfast sandwiches, 3 hashbrowns, and 2 drinks. They received 1 has brown and 2 burritos instead of 3 hasbrowns.. not even sure how that can happen. And over and over again. If you’re in this area, do not recommend going to this location. Your order WILL BE WRONG."
"Took almost twenty minutes to get my food from the time I entered the store and there was only one person in line. They were highly disorganized and arguing amongst themselves. The dining room was half-closed and what was available was very dirty and nasty. The food, when it finally did arrive, wasn't bad, but I have definitely had much better experiences at McDonald's before. The frappe I ordered wasn't even blended well. The trash cans were all overflowing, and there was food and trash on the floor and on every available table. Whoever was working as the expediter was extremely unorganized, and was in fact arguing with her co-workers most of the time I was there. It was very evident that there was either no manager on duty or one that plain didn't care. All in all, it was a pretty disappointing experience."
