"The caregivers at Inspire Specialty Hospital were, for the most part, kind, professional, and helpful, to me and for my son, John Dalton Zinn, who was the patient. I especially want to mention Mable, the nurse who called me to let me know that John had arrived at Inspire, and also let him use the phone to talk to me for a few minutes...Mable also gave john a shave and a haircut ---thank you, Mable, you are what all caregivers should aspire to be--- and Donna, and so many others...all were doing their jobs well...wish I could remember all your names...men and women...thank you. And with the help of this facility they treated my mother as if she was their own, very caring and gentle and communicative throughout her whole stay and therapy with them. "My brother Mike Urbina was at Inspiare for a little while and he received help that I could not even imagine was possible but the staff and care workers go above and beyond there duties because of one thing. Because they honestly care for their patients and the families of the patients. I would strongly recommend them for any situation’s that needs their professional experience and skills. "Son in comma 12days unknown why; suddenly woke; Shocked ALL Even Dr's & Neurology Team Moved to Inspire ICU Rehab that day Soon trachea & off the Ventilater & breathing on his own. Had his 29th birthday they sang, had balloons 2 & I got to face time talk with him & the RT CORD & He said "Love You Mom" this just 16 days after first losing consciousness & couldn't breath.(@ home) he getting OT, PT, RT, ST. I talk with RT CORD Crystal daily, she helps Me talk with my son c an I tablet & keeps me up to date on his care; nurses call when mo son need something like new med. I get sent pictures of my son sitting in a chair eyes open, where he does his Theraphy sessions. Some complaints: 1. Man in charge of admitting my son forgot to let me know phone, address, & NAME Of facility my son was taken to... I had to call local hosp ICU NURSE; She had to call fellow nurses @ home & & Track Down Where they Took MY SON TOO. SHE GAVE ME CONTACT INFO. #2. Was told I could talk to My son DAILY. This does Not happen Many times staff TOO busy(I get it) Play More music, makes people happy & not so boring & quiet... Makes Hearts Dance & feet & fingers tap & voices Sing"
"Find ANYwhere else! DO NOT let your family be transferred here. The only reason this review even has one star is bc one has to be given to access the review entry. We experienced non-stop issues from the moment of arrival and throughout, with failures from the lowest level of care to the highest. 1. Medication mismanagement, wrongly administered, delay and denial of prescribed… 2. Lack of communication between physicians and patient and physician and staff. Physicians are evasive, give non answers, or redirect patient to talk to someone else. 3. Expert care teams are advertised but unskilled workers performing care. Multiple staff state they are not trained to perform tasks assigned. 4. Patient and family told one thing by case management but then it is not supported by physician and not demonstrated by action. 5. Administration notified and failed to address, adequately. Lip service with no result. 6. Will not transfer to higher level facility capable of meeting needs. Delays transfers. Agrees to discharge but delays it. They’ll tell you they will…..for weeks. 7. Medical charts, patient history, etc., not read in a timely manner. Physicians and staff confuse one patient with another or don’t demonstrate knowledge of why the patient is there. 8. Basic requests for simple things like a pillow, a sheet, OTC itch cream, etc. are denied or dismissed with excuses like “we can’t find those things” or “we don’t have that”. 9. Medical equipment does not operate properly, isn’t managed properly, materials for equipment application is not present (seals, etc.), or staff is not knowledgeable of how to operate. It’s just an utter nightmare and once you’re in it, you cannot get out unless you AMA and jeopardize the health of your loved one, who obviously needed hospital level care, in the limbo. There ARE some very caring nurses and staff here. We will never forget those few. But they are tasked with performing specialized care that exceeds the scope of their ability and training. We felt awful for them as we saw them feel like they were failing us and worried they would get in trouble when they simply should have never been put in that position. Leadership here will give you every excuse in the world, blaming lack of supplies, lack of training, misunderstanding, confusion in communication, shortage of staff, just anything. Meanwhile your family member’s care will be up to YOU to ensure, through constant presence and prompting. Get ready to pack a bag and use all your vacation days, if you actually want adequate care of your loved one."
