"For some reason this hospital does not accept my Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance. It accepts other BCBS insurance but not my particular PPO. How do you even make that business decision? Many of the surrounding hospitals take my plan thank goodness but I have to drive at least an hour for a simple mammogram. Please explain why you do not accept ALL BCBS plans."
"TL;DR the staff there often misses BIIIIIIIG diagnoses that simple testing AND THEN LOOKING AT THE TESTS would address. (I myself am an RN who has lots of travel experience, i.e. I'm not a newbie.) I don't know how to adequately express the ineptitude of the staff here across the board. The doctors, nurses, everyone I don't know how they passed their boards to be able to practice. Unless your or a close family member have a strong medical background and can advocate for you, you will either die or suffer adverse effects from the negligence of this hospital My grandma passed 2/21 after several visits over the course of 18 months. On the majority of those visits she was triaged in the ED and sent home with basically a shoulder shrug as to why she couldn't breathe and was feeling bad. Once, family took her to Integris in OKC and she was diagnosed with a bad case of pneumonia. Another time it was a heart failure exacerbation. On and on, I'm convinced these doctors don't actually look at any results. Now currently (as of 3/24) my uncle has been in end stage liver failure for awhile. He had a horrible, itchy whole body rash for weeks. The doctors there barely looked at it, much less took a biopsy and brushed it off as eczema. He finally went to a dermatologist in OKC for a second opinion and THAT doctor immediately knew it was in fact not eczema but a fungal infection (and curable). He took a biopsy (like any good doctor should) and was able to prescribe a med to address the issue. Again, literally go ANYWHERE ELSE if you can"
"We were traveling and my elderly mother was really sick. Everyone we encountered at this facility was amazing and thorough. Registration clerk, Nurses, Dr.Elliot, X-Ray techs, Respiratory Therapist. Thank you all for helping my mom and being so kind and patient."
"Please, go somewhere else. My dad went to this hospital on Friday with pain in his leg. It was cold and white. They did a sonogram and couldn’t find anything and sent him home. He couldn’t sleep that night and thank god my mother took him to the Cordell Hospital. These people knew something was wrong and did more tests and found 2 blood clots. He was transferred to OKC and guess what? He had 5 blood clots! 5 blood clots and a stint put in. The surgeon said he was lucky. How do discharge someone with excruciating pain, cold leg, no color in the leg and tell them they are fine? The ER didn’t do their job and failed to diagnose which could have caused my father his life. Please go to another hospital."
"I had a hip replacement on Aug 15th 2023, I had the 4 best nurses. My Doctor was Dr. Winan. I want to thank, Haley,Susie, Jamie, and Helen…these girls were so kind, professional. They went over and above for me, and checked on me constantly! I hope someone in management sees this because these girls need recognition… thank you for such special care. The hospital is blessed to have these girls!"
