"Store 18537 on North Peoria in Tulsa is by far the worst when it comes to its employees. 3 to 4 days a week the store is closed and when I contacted corporate about the issue and spoke with Eddie it seemed to fix that issue for about a week and then right back to being closed. I was supposed to receive a call from the district manager about it but never did. I stopped there this morning and was approached by the lays vendor who informed me that the store wasn’t open cause the manager doesn’t like getting up in the mornings to open and apologized on behalf of dollar general and lays. Now when the store is actually open there is only one employee that actually works while the rest either stand behind the register and watch her ring up more than ten people or go outside to smoke. Basically when it comes down to it I won’t be back to dollar general again and that goes for all locations. I can only imagine they’re all the same so I’ll take my business elsewhere and anyone who has a brain will too. Update- I finally got a call from the district manager who told me that they’ve gone through a staff change recently which is why they were closed. The funny thing is that it’s still all the same employees who have been there for a long time. So not only did the district manager NOT try to help fix the solution rather than make excuses, his excuses were blatant lies and show his lack of management abilities. I will not be back to any dollar general again thanks to his inability to resolve any issues and because of his lies. I will gladly pay more money elsewhere."

"They seem to be open whenever the manager seems willing to work. This location is guaranteed to be closed to the public at least ONCE A WEEK!!!! When I questioned the employees about it I was told it was for a "refresh", whatever that means. My personal opinion is since they don't have enough employees they lock the store up to restock. This doesn't seem fair to us local residents who are already living in a food desert. To make matters worse there are 3 senior/disabled apartment complexes within walking distance."

"How NOT to do business: Have a price of $1.75 on the shelf, clearly marked, and charge $2.25 at the register. And then leave it INCORRECT for months despite customers bringing it to your attention repeatedly! It's called DECEPTIVE MARKETING! And then I bring it to their attention AGAIN and I'm told "I can't change the price." I walked out of the store with nothing. And I will NOT be returning! I'll take my business where they do it honestly and fairly!"
