"I did not notice this response from the owner of Foster and Dolleck until just now. What a disappointment and dishonest answer. I am the wife from the review submitted my by husband Bob. The person responding to his post is completely wrong. Yes we were new customers but we were sent to Damian at Foster and Dolleck through our previous person and we were told all information and previous returns would be sent over. The “not typical” situation this person discussed about our return was my husband adopted my daughter that previous year. Doesn’t seem to “not typical” in todays day and age. I would think adoptions happen quit often and are done on tax returns often, I could be wrong. I called and emailed multiple times before dropping off our information. The lady I spoke with and emailed with seemed very confused about the return with our daughter. I was explaining the previous year I did not claim my daughter, as it was her biological dads year to claim her. I wanted them to know this so they knew our daughter had a new last name and we would claiming her. I felt there was some confusion with this so I called and emailed a few more times to clarify. While emailing and calling, yes as you suggested, I did ask a few times if it would be better to just make an appointment. I was told this was not necessary. Instead of sending in the information I went to the office to drop everything off. I am a very organized and with the confusion through the phone and email I did put notes on post it notes, even though you deny this. In fact I can tell you they are The Grinch post it notes detailing my daughter, her new name, ssc #, date of adoption, reminding you she would not be on 2021s return. I even went to the level of pulling this all out and showing the notes to the not so enthused lady in the front when I dropped off. If they didn’t have such personal information I would post pictures of this on the review as I still have it all put together. Why you ask do I still have it all put together? Because I am STILL waiting on my federal tax return, that this company carelessly filed wrong. With all the notes, phone calls and emails this company STILL did not add our daughter to our return. Not only did they not add her there some very basic, not really influential to our return, errors as well; the child, our daughter, they didn’t claim they claimed her for child care (she’s 10- no daycare.) our SON we had daycare for that we claimed but they claimed our daughter for that, even though she wasn’t claimed as a dependent. While claiming her as a daycare dependent they used her previous name not her legal name due to the adoption in 2021. When I returned to the office to check over the return I was put off by the amount of the return (obviously being smaller then expected) I asked the lady (believe her name is Sara) at the front seemed annoyed and responded very rudely, I don’t remember her words exactly but basically saying it’s all right. Thank goodness I sat there for a minute and reviewed it all I caught the errors right away. I showed her and was told they had already been sent in, and they would need to file an amendment. Though the mail and IRS is not their fault but we wouldn’t be in this situation for the carelessness of this company. I honestly would not have gone through the effort to right this whole thing out had it not been for the response to my husbands review. It was wrong and down right just not right. Your company made an error. Own up to it."

"Should've stayed away as soon as we spoke to the person answering the phone there. She was rude and made us feel like we were an inconvenience for them to deal with. The only reason we stayed was because we were referenced to them by the person that used to do our taxes. Upon beginning this process my wife repeatedly told them that because of the way her parenting plan was set up this year we would be claiming our daughter and son. She even went as far as to write notes and clip them to our paperwork. They neglected to pay attention to this and as a result messed up our taxes. They did offer to "fix" their mistake for free, after charging $170 in the first place, like that should be a huge consolation prize. Because of their mistake we are now waiting on $2,000 to be amended to our taxes which will take us 20+ weeks to obtain. I get that mistakes can happen, but when we try to walk you through the process, short of doing it ourselves, and you refuse to listen or even read then I get upset."
