"Food was fresh and hot. Service was great. Best chili rellenos!"
"I want to start out with the positives of this restaurant. The hostess was very sweet and checked on us a good amount of times. My sister and I were the only ones in the restaurant (they had just opened 15 minutes before we got there), so we had all their attention. It was a super small, cute little building with a good atmosphere. Now for the negatives. I feel bad even writing this because I don’t ever want to bring down a small business but I just can’t…this was some of the worst food I had ever had in my entire life. We ordered some queso to split and it literally tasted like straight milk. Didn’t taste like cheese at all. I ordered two chicken burritos with queso on top (I ordered this before I knew how bland the queso was) and my sister ordered the el special which was basically one of a couple things from the menu. So one enchilada, one taco, etc. When I say this was the worst burrito I have ever had, it’s an understatement. I cut into the burrito and the only thing inside the tortilla was chicken. No onions or peppers or rice or beans or even salt and pepper. Just chicken. But this was not deliciously grilled chicken with lots of flavor. It was chicken out of a can. Like one of those tin cans you get for 85¢ at Walmart. It had zero seasoning, zero flavor. The rice was also bland and had no flavor but I used it to help take away the can flavor of the chicken. My sister said her food tasted like bad cafeteria food. She only took her leftovers because she felt bad leaving so much food behind. We threw her leftovers away at the closest gas station. We don’t say any of this with mean intentions!!! It was just genuinely the worst food I’ve ever had. Two hours after we ate, if I thought about the chicken, my stomach would start to twist. I just wanted to write this review because I wish someone else would have if they had the same experience as us. Again, no hate! I’m sure the owners have worked hard to get where they are, but they seriously need to consider changing their recipes."
"This little restaurant is something else. It is across town from I 40 so not too many road traffic patrons in the restaurant. But the staff there is friendly and if you make the trip there, you won't regret the effort. The food is fantastic. The Cheese Chili Relleno is what I would recommend...no, make it a double order. They are the best I have ever had."
"Definitely was not expecting it to be authentic but I also didn’t expect the dishes to be so bland. I suppose if you have never had real chile rellenos and real Mexican food, this place would be wonderful (like all the other reviews). Please add other seasoning to your dishes besides salt."
