Stewart Title Company - Omaha

"I have been dealing with the Stewart Title location in St. Louis, MO. They have been unprofessional, unresponsive, and have made numerous mistakes without being able to explain themselves. I applied for a home equity loan with PennyMac in October of 2021. They approved me for my loan and sent my paperwork to Stewart Title. This was almost three months ago. We had to get a person removed from the house title and it was supposed to happen on November 29th but never did. I called and emailed and nobody ever responded - for three weeks. Finally, I got my attorney involved and she got them to respond. They apologized and said they would fix their mistakes. By this time it was the third week in December. We were set to close on the loan on December 18th but because of Stewart Title and their failures, we couldn't close. After removing the person from the title they told my attorney that everything would happen electronically. However, by closing time nothing could move forward and Stewart said it was because they never received the new title from me (even though they told my attorney they would take care of the transfers electronically). After getting my attorney involved again, we finally set a close for December 29th with a notary coming to my house to sign the loan papers with me. The papers were drawn up incorrectly so we couldn't notarize them. The notary and I called Stewart and nobody even knew anything about my loan. Finally, after the notary packed up and started to leave, Stewart called back and said they found my paperwork. They said to sign the incorrect paperwork just to get the notary signatures out of the way and that they would send me updated papers electronically that same day. I never received the papers that day. I didn't receive them the next day either. Finally they sent them on the third day. They then called me that day and said I needed to sign right away because my loan was set to fund to me on Monday, January 3rd. January 3rd came and no money was there. I had a lengthy email exchange with some people and they said that the money wasn't due until Tuesday, January 4th. That day came and still no money. It is now Wednesday, January 5th and there are still no funds available. At this point I will call my attorney and hopefully file a lawsuit for failure to give me the loan I was approved for by PennyMac."
