Reviews
"I did the concealed carry class and had Josh as the instructor and he did a great job! Overall all the staff was really helpful and the facility is top-notch. I will definitely come back for more classes."
"Really friendly staff. I had gone to the grand opening back when and had a free 1/2 hr range pass. No expiration. They still honored it and gave us an hour free. Clean, well ventilated. Great amenities. One would think their non-member prices would be higher than average, but they are not. It's definitely my first choice for a shooting range from now on."
"Yesterday I participated in the women's Intro to Handgun class. I was really nervous and intimidated but once I met my instructors I felt very safe and comfortable. Patricia and Jenna are not only badasses but they were patient and thorough with every explanation. I felt extremely comfortable with them and never felt unsafe. Now I feel confident, powerful and I highly recommend any woman who has even the thought of taking this class sign up now! The facility itself is top-notch and you can't beat the prices for the gun rentals. I can't wait to take more of the women's classes."
"Half of the parking lot is reserved for "members". So if you not "special", there is no place for you, because there is very little spots left for "regular people". I guess this is a very smart way to attract potential "members", because several people in front of my eyes cycled around 2-3 times and then just left. Clear message: not paying monthly fee - you're not welcome."
"I just did my Nebraska concealed handgun course. I've got permits from 5 other states and this is by far the most thorough such course I've experienced. The instructor was informative and thorough. The range time was well thought out and well executed. The value for the price was exceptional! The class feel was what I would describe as your typical gun range experience. My wife will be attending the same course in a couple weeks, so I was extra aware of some off-putting language and boorish attitudes by the all male class and instructor cadre. I don't expect my wife to be turned off by it, since she is a mom of 3 boys, but it could be less than welcoming for a female student and an opportunity missed for a new gun owner/carrier. I ordered lunch from the in-house restaurant and the food was excellent and a good value. A couple weeks before my class, I stopped in to see what 88 Tactical even was since I had no idea what to expect. I got an impromptu tour from a membership sales guy. The tour and facility was very impressive. The tour guide was not impressive whatsoever. He seemed to have virtually no knowledge of guns, training courses or sales in general. He couldn't tell me much more than I could read in the comprehensive brochure. He shared the two membership tiers with me but couldn't articulate the value of one versus the other. Doing some of my own calculus, I could see how the top tier would make a lot of sense if you trained frequently or bought firearms with great regularity. What would seem like an entry level tier had little apparent value compared to just paying a la carte for courses and merchandise when considering how the membership perks would offset the full fare of those purchases. The sales guy did follow up with me a few days later, as promised - however when I told him I didn't see how the membership could provide enough value for my circumstances, the sales guy made no attempt whatsoever to earn my business or stack value. He just gave up. Overall, this is a very impressive facility and operation that has not yet found its stride. The growth potential is staggering if the leadership could put some competent sales personnel in place and perhaps knock off some of the rough edges that feel more like a typical gun range and less like a club that caters to discerning clientele. I'm excited to see their growth!"
