"Windows, leak. Balcony door, leaks. Ceiling, leaks water RIGHT INTO OUR INFANT SONS BED. Trash, scattered all over the place. Front doors, don't shut so snow is in the stair well. And the grand finale, the landlord, does his best to AVOID fixing or maintaining anything. Got a leak? He might answer his phone. Furnace isn't working? That'll get put on a back burner. Mold in your dishwasher? That's no issue apparently. This place is a slum DO NOT MOVE HERE, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN."
"Beware that when you move out you may never receive your safety deposit back. I've been moved out for two months and every time I call in to find out where my money is they say that it's in the mail. They want their money for rent on the first of the month and if you are a few days late you get slapped with late fees, unfortunately I can't return the favor, otherwise I'd have my safety deposit back and a full months rent! Absolutely ridiculous! On top of all that their is trash scattered everywhere around the apartments."
"The apartment hallways are always dirty and the stairs lean and Creak when you walk on them. I believe there is mold in the vents. I have developed asthma since I have moved here and I've never been a smoker. Nobody in my family has asthma. MBA apartments are awful owned by Mark bozek.Management is not permitted to give his phone number so residents can complain directly to MBA Apartments. We had a major brown recluse infestation. My son got glue traps and in one season caught about 60 of them. Instead of spraying the whole apartment building they just sprayed our apartment. The neighbors started seeing more brown recluses in their Apartments. Police are here at least every weekend. Don't have access to the workout room during the colder Seasons because you have to go through the pool area to get there. And of course the pool area is closed during that time of year. They barely have the pool open in the summer. Many residents don't respect the rules when it comes to their pets. Many of them don't bother putting their dogs on leashes when they take them out. My dogs are always on leashes and have been frightened by big dogs that are not on leashes. There is trssh all over the grounds. They have a very high turn over rate of residents. Paint chips in shower after using. Fire Placehas never worked. Black Hills Energy said maintenance needs to fix it. They also reccomended we get a carbon monoxide detector it they do fix it. I am convinced that many of my health issues are a result of mold in the vents. It's not just asthma I have a lot of mold related symptoms. Unfortunately for me I have no money to move. But when I finally do I'm going to get the hell out of here as fast as I can. I literally think living here could kill you! The mold is in the vents I have pictures."
"We all pay for the pool to be open and have access to the workout room. The pool is closed more than it is open. When the pool is closed then we don't have access to the workout room. I have tried several times this summer to go swimming and every time it is closed and chain locked. It is an ammenity that we pay for and should be able to use Just curious to what all of then tenets rent goes towards if things like this are not going to be fixed. Also the central air unit in my apartment never shuts off so my electric bill is over $ 300 a month. Not sure if when our lease is up if we will be signing a new one"
"When my wife and I move here with our kids back in 2011 it was really nice. Then MBA apartments took over and everything went to hell. See MBA apartments doesn't do background or credit checks so anyone can live there. In turn it went from a quite complex to a drug dealing, turning tricks, and violent place. Now look they just had and assault and rape happen last weekend. Good job guys letting just anyone in was a great idea. Overall our last 2 years there were miserable due to the lack of management around. Our heat went our last November when it was the coldest it has been in November for some time and they gave us 2 small space heaters and the heat wasn't fixed for at least a week. With 2 small kids that was unacceptable. On top of that when we were in the process of moving out they came in and started the process of fixing what need to be fixed for the new tenants before our last month was up with and with some of our stuff still in the apartment. I have reported this company to the Better Business Bureau in hopes of this company getting shut down."
