Reviews of The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel
"Starting with a starbucks and ending with a rooftop honey farm, the Marriott Cornhusker has it all. I stayed there for one this march. At the heart of Lincoln Nebraska, I relished by the grand staircase, stood patriotically near the congressional offices, and replenished my spirit at the onsite pub. Service was excellent - so was the 300+ board game convention happening there at the time. I give the Marriott Cornhusker husker 5 stalks ***** If you’re staying in Lincoln, don’t miss out on this strange delight."
"I was excited for my first time at the Corn husker, a previous coworker had stayed here during state sports championships and spoke highly of it. He steered me wrong. The biggest problem was that they overbooked and my coworkers reservation wasn't honored and was placed in a different hotel, causing us both to have to get up early to go over things prior to our conference instead of meeting that night. I was put in a handicap room, which while great for handicap people, was very inconvenient for me (mostly NO bathroom counter). Check-in was also very busy and took about 15 minutes. When getting up early we went to get breakfast in the restaurant. There was a breakfast buffet that I learned cost $18! Despite only about a dozen people in the restaurant, they were out of some items and the ones that were there were cold. It did come with a pancake or waffle, I got the waffle but it took about 15 minutes to finally come out and it was just two silver dollar waffles. In short I've had better breakfasts at a super 8 that didn't cost me anything and every breakfast at a Holiday Inn Express is better and free. Would not stay here again. Update: Not my choice but company ended up eating in the restaurant for lunch. Service was slow and poor. Every person but one at my table had a complaint about there meal. Avoid the restaurant at all costs."
"This hotel is in a historic building. It has interesting design features that you don’t find in newer hotels. However, the rooms could use some updating. We stayed on the 10th floor and our bathroom was very small and cramped. Our bed was not very comfortable, the walls are pretty thin and you can easily hear your neighbors. However, the building is unique and it is in a good location and close to concert and sport venues. We walked to restaurant and Lied Performing Arts arena."
"We had a normal king size room. You can pay extra for a capital building veiw. We opted not to and still had a nice veiw of the capital building. The room was clean and stocked with the normal amenities. One thing I didn't like was the lack of electrical outlets. To use the coffee maker I had to lean over a desk and reach down to the floor to get to an outlet. Bathroom well stocked. My girlfriend really loved the quality of the hair dryer. Pool was below par. No hot tub. Seems like the picture from the website did not match the actual pool. Advertised as heated but was very cold. All in all a good stay for the price."
"Great hotel. Glad they gave a discount to people who were taking the bar exam. It was an excellent location and close to a lot of things. The rooms were very comfortable. The hotel was very spacious and very clean. The staff were helpful. We used the big conference rooms to take the exam and they were a very comfortable place to take the test and were very quiet. I also liked the parking garage here. It was easy to use and was safe. Overall a great hotel in a great location."
