"WOW, the guys at Lake Mac Auto were amazing!! Had an accident where the lift gate on the van got pushed in causing the open door sensor to beep while driving and the dome lights to remain on. Also had a lot of sand in the wheel wells causing the car to vibrate while driving. We needed to drive to Utah the next morning. It was late Friday afternoon, but they met us as we drove in, washed out all the sand from the wheels, got the done light to switch off and got the open door sensor tuned off, for no charge!! These guys are great!!"
"We took our two-toned vehicle to get a quote on repainting one of the two colors and we were provided a detailed written quote. After deciding to go ahead and have the work done, we stopped by their shop to schedule it. A couple days later we received a phone call telling us they couldn't do the work for the price that they had quoted and that it would cost us an additional $1800-$2000 above the original written quote that was approximately $4000-$4500. We requested the manager or owner call us but that didn't happen. Appears, at least by our experience that this was a bait and switch type quote and even though they had provided a written quote they would not honor it. So even if you get a written quote like we did it may not be worth anything, so if you are considering using this shop, customers beware. (my comment after owner response) No, your response is not accurate, and you are not stating what actually transpired. Your response to my review that there would be an increase in materials would have been perfectly acceptable to me but this is clearly not the case and your representative did not mention this once when he called me. The only explanation I was given by your new employee was that the quote did not include some work and you needed to increase the amount and blamed an employee that is no longer working there for your inability to honor your written quote to me. Your new employee (that apparently replaced the one that you have blamed for the problem with my quote) specifically stated that the ex-employee made a mistake, so you are blaming that employee for your failure to stand by your quote to me. I specifically requested that the owner or manager call me regarding this but to date no attempt has been made to call me to discuss this. Its seems common business knowledge that the most important thing any business can do when a problem occurs that the owner or manager contact the customer in person and mitigate the issue. In this case it was easier for the owner to post an inaccurate excuse the blamed inflation rather than admit the real reason and then step up and do the right thing."
"They don't back up there work and you have to take your vehicle elsewhere to get fixed when you know that they are the ones that didn't make it right. You know that something is wrong with your vehicle when you go out and start it and your engine light is on. But it wasn't on when you took it over to them and they won't fix It. Even though I was told to bring it back and they would. So I took my vehicle to another place here in town and they had to plug in wires that were unplugged in the mirror on the same door that they fixed. I hope that they are satisfied with their work cause I am not. It cost me extra money to get someone else to do there work. Not fair if you ask me. I will probably never bring my vehicle back to them."
"August 18, 2021. We were traveling from Utah to our home in Illinois. We needed to get home to see a hand surgeon. After a fast food lunch, my driver's side window would not go all the way up; it was out of the track. A local car repair shop was too busy but sent us to Lake Mac Auto. We pulled in and Troy greeted us with a smile and said he could help. He removed the inner door panel, adjusted the window and put it all back together in 15-20 minutes. After chatting for a few more minutes, I requested the bill. To my surprise, it was no-charge. That was truly a 5+ Star experience!!"
"Incredibly nice and accommodating for a quick welding fix when a bracket broke and left a hole in our exhaust pipe mid-road trip. We were back on the road within 20-30 minutes. Thank you for your quick assist! Would highly recommend this autobody shop."
