About the Business
The National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, located at 1760 Centre Street in Rapid City, South Dakota, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support to individuals affected by pancreatic cancer. Whether you or someone you know has been diagnosed with this disease, we are here to help you navigate through the challenges of living with pancreatic cancer. Our mission is to raise awareness, provide education, support research, and offer financial assistance to those in need. Through our programs, we aim to improve early diagnosis, patient security, and survival rates for pancreatic cancer patients.
Founded in 2009, NPCF is funded solely by donations and is committed to helping individuals focus on their treatment and families by offering financial assistance for living expenses or unexpected emergencies. Our chapters, volunteers, and founder work tirelessly to raise community awareness and funds for our assistance programs. We believe in the power of sharing stories to spread awareness about pancreatic cancer and the impact it has on patients and their loved ones.
If you have been affected by pancreatic cancer, whether as a patient, caregiver, or loved one, we invite you to share your story or nominate someone to be recognized as one of Our Warriors. By sharing your experiences, you are helping us to shed light on the challenges faced by those affected by pancreatic cancer and the importance of early detection and better testing.

"I have proudly volunteered with this organization since it's inception. I am a cancer survivor and I know first hand the toll it can take on an individual and their family, financially and mentally. Having the support of an organization like this can really take the weight of the diagnosis off and allow them to concentrate on fighting for their health and well being. I also appreciate how the NPCF supports alternative treatment options and research to diagnose and battle pancreatic cancer. Sometimes you have to think outside of the box to find the answers. Thank you for all you do NPCF!!!"
"My mother died of pancreatic cancer in 1991. When she was diagnosed 2+ years before that, the only encouragement possible was several months of life or very limited options for treatment since she had already had surgery to reroute her digestive tract around the her pancreas. With radiation and chemo she extended her life span by that additional time. So much has already changed since then. Recently, I had a melanoma removed. Research has established a link between Pancreatic Cancer and Melanoma according to my dermatological surgeon. The carry the same gene signature allowing doctors to catch pancreatic cancer sooner β one of the hoped for possibilities when diagnosing the disease. In the past most people, including my mom went a long time before being diagnosed and when the diagnosis came it was already too late. I am donating because I hope with a little more research, solutions might be found my grand kids, children and other loved ones who carry the gen for pancreatic cancer might not suffer and die a hopeless death."
"My mother was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer several years ago. I contacted the NPCF with her for support and did not receive a response until NOW requesting a review. I donated to the NPCF in my mom's name, but received NO support or contact from them. My mom was looking for support, resources, and recommendations for financial support while she was in hospice. I do not know how many emails or contacts the NPCF receives but to contact me over eight years after my mom's death is disappointing. I hope they begin to do better. There are so many individuals who need help."
"I contributed in honor of a very close friend who died from pancreatic cancer. I have no knowledge of the effectiveness of this foundation's efforts on behalf of pancreatic cancer patients and their families, but can only hope that there are positive outcomes."
"Wonderful organization that not only helps individuals with pancreatic cancer, but also their families who are going through a challenging time. I organized a fundraiser a bit over a year ago and raised over $1000. I was proud to donate every cent to NPCF to support everything they aim to do!"
