"I've been put through the wringer for more than 15 years trying to figure out what I always assumed was hormonal pain. I'd had horrendous periods since I was a teen, and they were somehow kept getting worse the older I got! I dealt with awful pain, nausea and vomiting, at least half the month. Every month. I missed at least 3 days a month through school. I had exploratory surgery in my early 20s, with no results. I lost a ton of weight after multiple doctors swore it would solve my problems. I've had more ultrasounds than Jill Duggar, all came back normal. Depite becoming healthier and more active with age, I started missing more and more work because the pain was unbearable and my job wasn't compatible with the heavy duty pain killers I was prescribed. I finally got a new GP who recommended Ashley at Hansen PT for pelvic floor physical therapy. Apparently it's becoming more common for younger women, but no one had ever mentioned pelvic floor PT as a pain management option to me before. Although I was skeptical, I would have been willing to try it sooner if it had ever been suggested. Despite my skepticism, it's been a life changing experience. Ashley was really approachable and took me seriously from the start. As a result, I now very rarely miss work! I no longer take any prescription pain killers. I'm not in daily pain. I never black out during my period any more. I might even be a nicer person just because I'm not miserable all the time. I can't put into words the quality of life improvement I've experienced. I've been seeing mostly Ashley, and Megan a little bit! All of the staff is incredible, and the facility is nice and open, with the exercise equipment spaced out well. The parking lot is a little small if you have a large vehicle, but there's other parking nearby."
"I fractured my arm in January and lost all strength and most range of motion by the time I started PT. The staff at Hansen Therapy are at the top of their game, I just got released and my range of motion is great and still working on increasing my strength. I can’t say enough about my therapist Avery, she got me back to and functioning probably better then prior to the accident."
"As a first time patient, it was irritating right away to listen to loud laughing echoing in the room next door with no doors or walls to shut down the noise, sounded like a bar/party atmosphere, not a professional medical clinic. I was having a hard time concentrating filling out the medical forms. When I approached the front desk person about my concern, she blew me off , her response was pretty mcuh, 'we believe in having a good time, this is the way we are'. I told her after this visit, I am not returning. She was cold and indifferent to my concern. By the time I was approached by a PT , I had a headache. I told the PT my concerns, and decided this is not the right place for me. I'm sure people come in there with all kinds of pain and would not want to listen to all that. It's sad that few people have the guts to confront them about it. I would give this pace a 1 star review."
"I moved to Rapid City while in the middle of physical therapy for a "frozen shoulder", which was quite painful and limiting. I sought a referral from an Urgent Care and was put in touch with Hansen PT. They were able to see me the same day and start me on a program involving therapy at the facility as well as teaching me exercises to do at home. I made a full recovery much faster than I thought possible. The staff is friendly, professional, and passionate about providing the best care possible. No one was ever too busy to address any questions or issues, including the office staff, who were very accommodating.. I have had experience with several PT facilities and Hansen is the best by far. I would recommend them to family and friends without any hesitation."
