"I recently went to The Canteen for Saint Paddy‘s day and for weekly trivia! The service is excellent and the food/drinks are great abs well priced. Fun atmosphere!"
"I visited Canteen Brewhouse for the first time on St. Patrick's Day. The beverages were satisfactory. Due to my diabetic condition, I had inquired in advance about the kitchen's wait time and was informed it would be approximately 45 minutes. Consequently, I opted to bring my own food. Upon doing so, I was approached by a male staff member who, on two separate occasions, rather assertively instructed me to put away my outside food, without inquiring into or considering the reasons for my actions. While I recognize and respect the policy of patronizing the establishment's own kitchen, I believe that exceptions should be made under certain circumstances. Regrettably, due to this experience, we have decided not to patronize Canteen Brewhouse in the future."
"Decent beer and they do have a kitchen. I got a brat and the pretzel, both of which were good. My wife got the French dip which was very good. Seems like dogs were allowed on the patio and I met a dope husky."
"The Canteen allows you to seat yourself, and there’s both indoor and outdoor dining. The food consists of noshes, soups, salads, and sandwiches. They do not have a full kitchen, which is why the food tends toward being more prep-and-serve rather than traditional cooked bar food. I had the Pigmac (presumably a play on the name of McDonald’s Big Mac), which had pulled pork, Carolina BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, and Hatch chile slaw. I thought the sandwich was fine, but thought there was going to be BBQ sauce on the sandwich as a condiment as well rather than in just the meat mixture. I couldn’t really taste any of the chile in the sandwich, so that wouldn’t be a draw for me to get it again. The sandwich came with a pickle spear and bag of potato chips. I had the Canteen apple cider (6.0%), a year round offering. It wasn’t too sharp or dry. It’s the only cider on the menu. I believe the establishment is open serve rather than servers having assigned tables. That wasn’t an issue at all; the service was attentive. Overall, a fine place. I think the Canteen would benefit from an expanded/full kitchen and expanded cider menu. I’d likely go back if friends wanted to meet and play cards, as it seems like a chill place, but the food wouldn’t be a draw on my end."
"The beers are on point. They are top of the line ( Albuquerque has some great brew beers so that's a boast). As for the food, It's almost where it could be for the price, missing that extra boost (like a bag of chips?) . The staff is very quick and top notch ( which gives them that extra star). Great team work!"
