"Excellent! I've been wanting to try this place for a few months now and finally got the chance. It was really tasty. I love BBQ because every place is different and that can mean it's kind of risky, but even bad BBQ is pretty good. This BBQ is not bad at all, quite the opposite! Right when we walked in the door, they gave us a sample of the sausage which was very tasty. We tried the pork ribs and the Carolina pulled pork. Both were very good but the ribs were the standout for me and my wife. The sides also didn't not disappoint. Everything we tried was excellent! Don't miss out on this place, make the drive if you don't live close by and do yourself a favor. Can't wait to come again!"

"Service was excellent and the food was even better!! I ordered a brisket plate with a side of mac and cheese. The brisket was moist and flavorful and paired nicely with the spicy bbq sauce. I also got a Torpedo which was a jalapeño stuffed with pulled pork and cream cheese wrapped in bacon, delicious! I recommend and will be back again."

"Entering into Duke City BBQ what is immediately clear is that the owner recognizes that setting the right mood can be just as important as serving good food. The ambiance evokes southern themes and the country music (which I am normally not a fan of but in this case it works well) makes a potential customer forget for a moment that they are only a major street away from Cliff's Amusement Park. Now, let's talk about that all important topic when considering any BBQ joint. The food was INCREDIBLE. I had a "Dinosaur Beef Rib" and did it ever deliver on it's namesake. Coming in at nearly 2lbs of meat on a single Flinstone-ian bone, it was a exemplar of well executed barbecue. Tender and practically falling off the bone and paired with a side of Mac & Cheese (which I covered in their spicy BBQ sauce), my wife and I managed to feel completely full with just a single helping. My father had the pork loin and it was also very good (at least what he was willing to share was good). I will say unequivocally my only issue was that it was over too quick. I am already thinking about a loaded baked potato with brisket. Can't say enough about how great my experience was, and if you're a BBQ fan, it's worth a visit. For the sake of context in the below picture I will say I am 6'5" and am not what anyone would consider "petite"."

"Note: This business name is Duke City BBQ (not "Barbecue" as Google has it). Killer good Texas style BBQ!!! Smoke is strong on meats, which is key to great BBQ, Beef brisket has peppery taste as well as the smoke note. Pulled pork sandwich was smoky, moist, & generous amount of meat in sturdy bun. Cream style corn was exceptional! Whole kernel corn in rich buttery white gravy-like sauce with complex flavor. Cob corn was tender & rich in buttery flavor. BBQ beans with tidbits of shredded meat tasted good & had a bit of bite. Cole slaw had cranberries & pineapple bits in it for a different texture & flavor profile. Super friendly staff. Clean premises."
