"Cabezon Community Park is always so clean and green and inviting. The maintenance crews of Rio Rancho are on top of it ever day. It is a multi use park with playground, picnic tables and a doggy park."
"I came here with my dog because I had heard that the dog park here was very nice. I actually was quite disappointed in the enclosed Dog Park area, after having been recently to North Domingo Baca Park. The ground is gravel rather than the very soft mulched cottonwood at the other park. There's really not much in the enclosed area; no ramada or other shade; there were also no other dogs in there... they were mostly running around on the grass unleashed, even though they were supposed to be leashed. My biggest complaint is all of the green grass! Of course it's nice to have some but this obviously requires a huge amount of water. Not to mention maintenance costs. It seems to me it would have made a lot more sense to put up more shade structures and less grass. I would not call Rio Rancho a City of Vision. This is coming from a Tucsonan who knows what is happening to the southwest."
"Favorite balloon launch spot on the westside. Great park, equipment is pretty new. We only go around sunrise so I've never been to the pool. Seating area is shady & comfortable."
"A beautiful City park in a new sub-division. Well maintained but like many City parks, not enough parking. Forces the users to park on the street and trying to keep a step ahead of the parking gestapo. Has playground equipment, picnic shelters, and a swimming pool."
"Excellent outdoor pool near park within neighborhood community. Lifeguards are always friendly. Pool has 2-3 lap lanes and the rest is recreation/free swim. Water basketball is available. Clean changing and showering areas with locker rooms (bring your own lock)."
