"If you are going to charge twice the rate of near by hotels, the rooms should be nicer. Holiday in express is typically very nice. This was not. I was also charged 40$ more than the price on their web site. Disappointed."
"We stayed here for the second time December 26th 2023. I didn't write a review the first time but I should have. The first time we stayed there was the end of June 2023, they were remodeling there and it was a disaster. The room was as close as possible of not liveable. This last stay was worse the thought they should have been close to finish the remodeling, but in this case they didn't even start. What made it worse we paid with points. They weren't sold out but yet give us a room that was disgusting. We had our 7 year old granddaughter with us. When we went down to get breakfast the pancake machine was out of batter. When I asked if they could fill it i was snapped at and was told that she would get to it when she had time. We never did get any pancakes. I should say they gave us our points back but I don't think we will ever stay at a Holiday inn express ever again. Or a Holiday inn ever again. Please see attached pictures. After reading the Management's response, I did see that they were still under construction. But they still had a lot of areas that were complete. I must re state that this hotel was not completely booked. In fact, it was more than half empty, according to what I was told. They should never have stuck anybody in a room like that. Especially especially somebody who is paying with points. Who is shown to be a loyal customer. It takes literally thousands of dollars in order to earn enough points to stay one night in these hotels. I must also say that it saddens me to say they Can take the time to respond to this review. have all my contact information. But never took the time to contact me to let me know how sorry they were. It shows the lack of professionalism and. the appreciation they have for their customers. Sincerely disappointed Scott"
"Obviously under remodel but hallways etc were filthy! Step up and clean. Went in our room and thought I was back in the hospital. No soap to wash my hands no extras at all. We could stay at Motel 6 and have a better more comfortable stay. Needed ice for my knee went to vending, no ice machine, no diet drinks. We paid $150.00 for a SUBPAR hotel room. No carpet but the floor was so very dirty my feet were black, noticed because I showered and used my foot to move the big long black hair on the shower floor and left marks. This hotel has soured us on Holiday Inn Express!! I really don’t recommend, if they can’t function during a construction project then shame, shame, shame."
"This location was awesome for us on our long drive. The town is rundown but we didn't feel unsafe. The breakfast was delicious and full including hot eggs, sausage and bacon. Our style of room was overbooked. The front desk lady tried to give us a room that could sleep one less person than we originally booked because we have younger kids. I refused the pull out bed option with a toddler sleeping in my space. They made it right by giving us two connecting rooms. I gave the room 1 star because the maintenance team. Our room was clean but it had botched repairs everywhere. The ones that impacted us negatively were the Shower drains backing up as we showered and the handicap shower seat causing water to flow all over the floor and hanging by a latch hook so it could smash fingers if unhooked and not properly held on to. It was heavy and I was afraid my kids would bump it and it would fall down. Thankfully we were only here one night."
