"I had given this UPS Store a 5 star review. Well that has changed, it is now a 1 star thanks to the owner, a woman and I don't know her name, who was very rude refusing to help, said you had to go home and print out the label, on the way out another customer told us that they would print it out for $2. Went back in to another worker, who said they do this . But had to get the owners permission. She said ok in a very rude manner. The workers seem nice, and have always been great. Much better than the other one close by. An owner this Rude! Probably won't be an owner for long. They have lost our business."
"I run an online store and usually go there a few times a month to drop off packages. I pay for the labels online, package everything, and put on a label myself. Every time I go there, I just put the package on the counter and leave because the package is paid for prior with a label. Today was different, I walked in and saw a long, slow-moving line. Just like every time I walk to the counter, skipping the line like I always do (I have everything paid for with a label) to simply put it on the counter, not bothering anybody and leave. An employee stopped me saying "you can't do that. You gotta go to the back of the line" I said, "It's been paid for, and I'm just dropping it off, I don't need a receipt." He said, "It doesn't matter. You gotta stand in line." I've literally never heard of that. I get in my car, find a different UPS store, and I go there and drop the package off at the counter. I told the staff member at that location of what happened. They laughed and said, "That is silly. You paid for the label. Therefore, you can drop it off regardless if there is a waiting line." Anyway it this does sound silly and not a big deal.... yes I agree...but... it is a big inconvenience for someone who is trying to run a small business."
"Update- after reading the dismissive response of the owner I hope someone at corporate investigates this store as many others on here are reporting being treated poorly as well. It was the exact the same code I showed you. There was no difference. It was the correct code we were provided by the company. I asked if there was alternative as the clothing didn’t have a code to scan. The only one was provided by happy returns in the form of an email. We were denied service as I asked if there was an alternative way to get the exchange done which he also wouldn’t help me with. If my voice raised it is because I was reacting to being rudely spoken to by this employee. You can paint it however you like. This was my experience of the situation. My wife and I went to ups to make a return and the man up front who refused his name but had many tattoos treated us very poorly. He tried to gas light me into believing that my exchange code was invalid and couldn’t be used and then refused us service. When we asked the manager she was also ugly towards us and said he was handling it fine. Then she actually took a look and tried the code for herself and found out we were right and it was exchangeable. I don’t know if this was because of racism or some kind of other prejudice but this was the absolute worst treatment and service I have ever received in Albuquerque. There was just no reason to be mean. Furthermore the manager refused to listen to us and said her employee was doing great despite not doing so and then yelled us out of the store. I’m shocked and at a loss for words at how something as benign as a return could warrant such discriminatory behavior. We were given a card with the owners number but to no avail and there’s no machine. I would love if somebody could explain why this happened and what repairs could be made. This is not a good look for UPS and I don’t understand why people like this are representing this business. I will not be returning to this store and would advise other LGBTQ+ and BIPOC customers to go elsewhere for UPS services as I don’t believe it’s a safe place for us to be in."
"UPDATE: Just in case anyone was wondering, the owner or manager responded to this comment, asking me to email them. I did and they never got back to me. So, seems that they are responding to comments acting like they care, but they really don't. I came in to send a return item for USPS. Never have I had an issue sending out USPS items at a UPS store. This is the first time coming to this location because we are new to the area. The lady was inconvenienced that she had to walk to the counter she immediately saw it was USPS and said she couldn't do it. When I told her I have done it at other UPS locations without an issue, she responded that her USPS carrier didn't take boxes... Which come to find out was a lie, I went to a different UPS store down the road, she happily taped my box and put the label on it for me and handed me a receipt for dropping it off. This store needs to be closed after reading all of these reviews from customers and the responses from the owner...."
