"We have lived here since it was built. The original managers were shady so when CC Property took over, we were relieved. Unfortunately, they have an attitude of "we are doing you a favor by letting you live here." They use the housing shortage in Rapid as a reason to treat their tenants like they are employees rather than customers."
"Units were lovely, spacious, and quiet from what we saw. My spouse and I were ecstatic to apply for a unit. Unfortunately, their communication skills and clarity seem to be lacking. We applied for a unit that was available about 3ish weeks ago. We waited a little over a week to determine if there were any issues with our application and the lady that answered our call said, “Oh yeah, the background can take a minimum, a week. But once that goes through, you should be able to be accepted and sign paperwork.” It wasn’t stated prior that backgrounds can take that long and we were left in confusion and a bit annoyed we spent 80 bucks on applications not knowing that prior. We didn’t think the secret service was vetting us. Most places we stayed at or what we asked are a week, maximum for backgrounds on rentals. Three weeks past with no other update that than information given to us. Just received an email stating what we could obviously infer, someone else got that unit we applied for prior. It’s understandable that things can get overlooked and most our issues were just communication. But with the extreme housing shortage Rapid City and the local area has, it does make it more stressful to have that many hiccups off the bat. Just be extra clear with their housing office on timeframes for the approval process so you’re not skimped out of 40 dollars per application."
