"We were so blessed to work with Shannon. It was incredibly helpful to work with her to deliver our first born. We had no idea what to expect and Shannon walked my partner and I though each step. My water broke around 10pm on a Friday night and I was able to text/call Shannon throughout the evening to help with my labor and delivery. As my contractions progressed in the middle of the night, she quickly came to be by my side to help manage the pain. I truly can’t imagine going through this process without her. She was extremely helpful and just awesome to work with. I highly recommend working with her and her team if you are expecting. It’s so nice to have someone staying in the room with you while nurses are rotating in and out. I guarantee she will make you feel calm throughout the high intensity moments of giving birth."

"Brooke was an amazing support during my long, 48 hour labor. She has such a calm and comforting presence. She suggested positions that helped me through my contractions and showed my husband how to help me as well. She reminded to stay hydrated, eat, and have me spoonfuls of honey for energy. When I wasn’t progressing, she still stayed and slept on my couch overnight even though she could have gone home. We are so thankful we had her as part of our birth team! Shannon, the owner of Vintage Doula, also came as our midwife’s birth assistant. She also added valuable experience to our team in the hours leading up to birth. She knew just the right things to say at the right time. She prayed over all of us in the moments before my daughter was born and it had my husband in tears. She also captured videos during labor and the birth that I am so thankful I can go back and watch frequently. We couldn’t have done it without Brooke and Shannon! Also I have to plug my amazing midwife for anyone in the comments that’s looking ;) Annette with Black Hills Midwifery is incredible!!"

"My husband and I were so thankful to have Shannon's support for the birth of our second child. She stayed by my side in the hospital for 13+ hours during a long and challenging labor! She gave me direction for different positions to help move labor along. When I doubted myself she reminded me how strong I am and that I could do it. She offered essential oils for pain relief that smelled amazing and helped me to relax. My husband is not a fan of the hospital setting and said having Shannon supporting us both made the birth of our second child a much more positive experience for him than the birth of our first.
