"Dr Childers was recommended by a couple of my neighbors. I did the meet-n-greet appointment and thought finally, a Dr who listens. She referred me to a dermatologist and GI Dr for an EGD/colonoscopy because of celiac and GERD. So I set up my annual physical with her…which hadn’t been done in almost 2 years. My insurance pays 100% for physicals and I am not on Medicare (yet). During the physical, she asked how I was doing and if I had any concerns. I told her I was scheduled for the EGD/colonoscopy and that I had seen the dermatologist. She stepped out to get my lab results, and when returned she started asking me if I had ever heard of a Cologuard…the at-home test. Excuse me?? I just told her I what I was scheduled for that SHE PRESCRIBED! Totally lost faith in her… And now they’re trying to bill me for an office visit because we discussed something outside of the wellness visit. What is the definition of an annual physical? The Dr doesn’t even do an exam anymore and then when the patient is asked if there are any questions or concerns, if something is brought up health wise, it’s suddenly not considered an annual physical anymore and then there are charges involved. Unbelievable!!! No, I will not be going back to her. So disappointed…it is so hard to find a good Dr anymore."
