Red Cloud Indian School

Red Cloud Indian School, located at 100 Mission Drive in Pine Ridge, South Dakota, is a school that educates 600 Lakȟóta children and is dedicated to intellectual and spiritual growth, as well as preserving Lakȟóta culture. The institution serves as a place for art, education, preservation, economic development, culture, and history. The Heritage Center, which is currently open for summer hours, features exhibitions and the renowned Red Cloud Indian Art Show. The center also has a gift shop with a variety of traditional art for sale. The Office of Truth and Healing is committed to seeking truth and recently received a report regarding an excavation in Drexel Hall basement. Red Cloud Indian School is a Catholic institution administered by the Jesuits and the Lakȟóta people, dedicated to education of the mind and spirit. As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the school relies on donations to support programs such as the summer internship program for high school students and recent alumni.
