Lakota Waldorf School is a unique educational institution located on Mile Creek Road in Kyle, South Dakota, United States. Situated in the heart of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, LWS is an independent, nonsectarian, tuition-free school catering to students from Kindergarten to 8th grade.

Established in 1993 by parents of the Oglala Lakota Tribe, LWS offers an alternative educational approach that combines Waldorf Education with a focus on Lakota language and culture. This integration helps students connect with their heritage while receiving a well-rounded academic foundation.

Lakota Waldorf School is the only institution in North America that combines Waldorf Education with a program on Lakota language and culture. It is also the only Waldorf School in the country located on an Indian Reservation.
