"My family, brother's family, sister's family, grandfather, and friends all stayed for our father's funeral. We were given great rates and had our rooms next to each other. The rooms were very clean and the continental breakfast was great."

"Room is clean, has essentials, nothing fancy. Our room had a cliff out the window, so nice and private! Hotel hallways have a bit of a smell (probably just old and slightly musty, with faint smoke from years ago not completely aired out?) but not enough to be alarmed at, and our room was fine."

"They say they are pet friendly, but I wouldn't describe them that way. We stay in a lot of hotels with our dogs and this is the first time we've been charged $35 a night for a pet fee. We were also lectured at check in about the pet policy and given a written letter about our responsibilities with our pet (ie, covering the full costs of neighbour's rooms if we have so much as a complaint about the dog). They really work to make you feel like you should not be there with your pet. I've never experienced this at any other hotel. The pet area is a little sad but given the location they did what they could with what they had. I was thankful the space is close to the handful of pet friendly rooms. I've seen on some other reviews that management has responded saying that the high $35 cost is to cover additional expenses for labour of cleaning and washing of linens...I would hope linens are washed regularly in all rooms with or without the pet fee. For what it is, its fine for spending a night while driving through. Would we stay here again if we had our dog with us? Not a chance. Rude front desk staff/the pet policy is really not something that we would choose to deal with again."
