"Cancer is a scary thing. I should know - I lost the love of my life to Stage 4 Metastatic breast cancer 7 years ago, and we have four kids together. I’ve been healthy my whole life, and out of nowhere, I was diagnosed with Leukemia. All those visions of sitting in the infusion room with my wife returned. I was scared, for myself and what would happen to my children. My first Oncology appointment, Dr Michelle Levy walked in and alleviated all of those fears. With probably the best bed side manor any doctor could ever offer, she gently and intelligently explained that this was not dire. That the medical field had made stratospheric improvements and treatments for my specific cancer, and that together we would fight my ailment. I felt comfort that I have time to overcome my diagnosis, or at the very least, I have time to continue building memories. My children and I can’t thank her enough.
