Dr. DeRosa was my surgeon, successfully performing robotic surgery, completely removing my Renal Cell Carcinoma. He offers excellent communication delivered with compassion, always answering questions and offering intellectual knowledge as requested. Dr. DeRosa never pressured us to move toward surgery; he laid out our options, explained the pros and cons, and left the treatment decision up to us. He even supported our decision to go to the Mayo Clinic for a second opinion. Following my surgery, the pathology report revealed the tumor was, in fact, an aggressive Renal Cell Carcinoma, as Dr. DeRosa had suspected. The Mayo Clinic had advised us the tumor was not likely cancerous with a surveillance recommendation.
