"We had the best dinner to celebrate our Leap Year Anniversary! We had the cheese trio, split the field greens, my partner had the filet mignon and I had the salmon, and we ended the meal with the warm bittersweet chocolate truffle cake. The salmon was the BEST I have ever had! My partner thought the same of the filet mignon! Everything was fresh, delicious, and a treat to the taste buds! Sugarbeet does a superb job of balancing different flavors. That was demonstrated in every part of the meal. Beyond the sensational food, what makes Sugarbeet an exceptional restaurant is the top-notch service. We were greeted warmly by May when we entered the restaurant. Our server, Aminata, was an absolute delight - warm, friendly, funny, and helpful with all of our food inquiries. We even met one of the owners as we were leaving the restaurant, and he was sincerely interested in how we enjoyed our meal. We enjoyed it! Thoroughly and we will be back! Thank you, Sugarbeet, for making our anniversary special! We only get one every four years, and we are glad we chose to celebrate with you! We are newer to Longmont and have been trying many restaurants. Sugarbeet is our new favorite!"
"Meet the owner of Sugarbeet, Ari Kara. This place is definitely a 5 star restaurant in my book. I love the good ole fashion customer service, his mother’s recipe of baklava, and wine. Ari is a good energy, believes in good ole fashion customer service, rare person, & makes you feel very welcome. He has become a good friend of mine in the business industry."
"My boyfriend and I went here to celebrate his birthday. The meal was lovely and part of the Boulder Bites restaurant week. Overall, we had a spectacular time though there was a really loud group of people behind us that made it nearly impossible for us to speak to each other. That was unfortunate. The area we were in in sugar beets just amplified their noise and made it very difficult. But the food was spectacular and I have been here previously and had a perfectly lovely time. I just wish people would be more considerate of others with their speaking volume I will say that they gave such generous portions for the Boulder Bites special event and that I appreciate it. We did not expect a full-sized appetizer etc. on a four course dinner."
"Great food, amazing service. Was greeted with two glasses of champagne for a special date. Food was phenomenon. Tried the truffle cake with our waitress's (Jessica, who was awesome!) recommendation and it was incredible. Cozy atmosphere and prices are very reasonable for quality of food. So happy to have a place like this in Longmont."
"The best high end local fare restaurants in Longmont. The wait staff is always attentive and not intrusive, the food is local, crafted each day with what's best at that time and adapted by the chefs as needed. An example was a chickpea appetizer that hadn't really been working that well to the chef's estimation and turned into a falafel dish with red sweet pepper sauce and what I thought might be a black sesame tahini. It was amazing, the combination of textures, flavors, and even temperatures, with the falafel coming out hot from the oil, crisp and perfect on the cool creaminess of the sauces. We also got the roasted beet and pear on goat cheese salad, and shared the roasted pappardelle (which had a lovely presentation of ribbons topped with a roasted tomato sauce and zucchini) with beautifully prepared duck confit. The duck was silky tender and topped the creative and toothsome pasta. We ended with the key lime pie, which was plenty for the both of us and a wonderful combination of tart, creamy and sweet."
