Durango Cafe au Play is a non-profit organization located at 495 Florida Road in downtown Durango, Colorado. Our mission is to provide a safe space for parents and youth to gather, share ideas, find friends, and nurture healthy relationships. We offer classes, playgroups, and support for parents of young children, as well as parenting classes on a variety of topics such as prenatal care, lactation, nutrition, and child behavior. Our indoor and outdoor facilities provide engaging play space for parents and children to meet each other and form a community, addressing the challenge of isolation that many families face.

Kelly, a Fort Lewis Alum with a background in business development, account management, and sales, serves as a Board Member and advisor to the Cafe. Liza, MSW, a local Parent/Youth Coach and Play Therapist, is responsible for developing the space and group calendar, offering training to volunteer parents, and coordinating cafe activities. She also leads peer support groups for youth living with challenging health conditions and their parents. The Cafe hosts parents of young children during the day and older youth activities in the evenings.

We invite you to visit our indoor and outdoor play areas, which are open Monday through Friday mornings, as well as Thursday mornings for our baby group. Visits are free, so come join us at Durango Cafe au Play for community, friendship, and peer support.
