"I'm into history, especially Arizona history, so I found this place fascinating. I really got a feel for how rough it must have been to make a life here. My only suggestion is don't come too early in the spring. I missed the opportunity to try the fruit, and that was on the list."
"This felt like a nice little historical stroll through time. While I visited in March and I can't say that I would recommend that timing, I can easily see how lively this place could be in the summertime with small families and flowers blooming. There were plenty of picnic benches, trash bins, informational plaques to understand the history, and even an active orchard. The parking was quite small and even had a sign prohibiting RV's and trailers. However there was another small parking area after the bridge (going the direction of Lee's Ferry) that you could walk from if you are in an oversized vehicle. Enjoy!"
"Great hike while getting to see the homestead. Ended up hiking 6.5 miles round trip along the Paria River. There are river crossings if you are going up into Buckskin Gulch. Watch the weather and check with the park service as this area is prone to flash floods. There was no one out here and the trail was decently marked until the first river crossing. Some trail finding is required so having an app such as Gaia or All Trails is a must to see if you are in the right location. Down load the maps ahead of time because cell service gets worse the further up the canyon you go. Enjoy!"
"Great small hike with kids. 1 mile round trip. The self-guided walking tour follows an dirt road leading back to the ranch and orchard with dirt trails around the ranch buildings. Plus. Fruit at Orchard for personal consumption. Plan spend two hours exploring the ranch."
"There is a small parking are so you may have to find parking elsewhere. Beyond the ranch is the Paria Canyon trail. The weather unfortunately didn’t allow for a canyon hike, but I went as far as I felt comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed the views. The orchard was a wonderful perk! I went on a Friday in April at 2pm and managed to have the area to myself."
