Luckily the attendant working was able to assure me that I would be able to get there safely. She was very nice and I was grateful for her help. "I've always been treated well here. All the basic foods for survival, plus candy, chips, snack cakes, soda, beer, smokes... Tchotchkes (Google it) for the tourists or locals who are into these things. Useful little gadgets, too. Accepts EBT and Debit cards. Many people would not survive without this market in Chloride (20+ miles from major grocery stores). I've read reviews with complaints about the owner walking his dog.During these times he briefly closes the store. When he hasn't got "backup help" in the store, the dog needs to be walked. Period. Any dog owner can comprehend this. Have read OTHER reviews stating "watch out for the dog. He (it) bites!" Generally speaking, it is not recommended to put your hands into the face or near the head of a dog that doesn't know or fully trust you. Allen usually warns people against touching or trying to pet this dog. Always ask before assuming an animal is universally friendly. : )"
