"Bought the extended warranty on a Maytag washer and dryer from Appliance Factory/Brand Source. They dryer has ALWAYS had problems that were never fixed after numerous service calls and basically replacing everything, and now the washer is acting up. 2 adult household and we are not "hard" on our W/D. Called again for extended warranty service on both and now they want to charge me $50 per item for an "out of area service charge" which I've never had to pay before. I asked them to show me where I agreed to this in writing. Crickets. Will never buy from them again. Total waste of money and nothing but frustration."
"Between them and GE they are completely inept and never sent anyone to fix a one month old stove after 8 calls. Ended up with Mr appliance out of fort Collins and they scheduled after 1 call."
"This was the first time we used this company, it was listed on the invoice of the washer and dryer we bought. Had to call 3 times before I was able to speak to a live person, but they did set an apt. fairly quick for our washer that was making a funny sound. The technician was nice enough, he basically rolled the inside drum and said it needed a new tub and bearing and it would be over $1000. At the time I said I needed to think about it. I did call the company I usually use, and they did confirm it would be over $1000 to fix it. I though I would check on ordering the parts on our own and try and fix it, the washer is only 5 yrs old and the perfect height, plus dryer working fine. I called and emailed Brand Source 3 times asking for the exact parts needed so we could order the parts, and nobody ever sent or called with that info. Not impressed, sticking with my trusted appliance company, Columbine next time."
"Terrible company with terrible service. Phone to make an appointment rang off the hook with no live person. Left a message with no call back after 24 hours, called every hour until I got someone on the phone. Unfortunately we were forced to use this company as we purchased the extended warranty from Brandsource Appliances. Then, Technician wouldn’t wait 3 minutes as I asked for a call 30 min prior so I could get a window of time to drive from my office 20 min away. They called when they were at the house and left and wouldn’t come back. I had to wait another week to get someone here and it was the same tech, I called him out and he didn’t even apologize! Terrible customer service!"
"Beware, be prepared for outrageous prices!! I had 3 broken appliances looked at by a technician. I was quoted about $125 to have all 3 looked at. I provided model #'s for all appliances beforehand so parts could be ordered ahead of time and repairs could be made immediately if needed. The technician was clean and did show up within the quoted time frame. He looked at all appliances, took everything apart and was able to do a limited diagnosis of the problems. He then asked if I had been quoted any prices for parts/labor over the phone when I scheduled the appt. I told him no so he starts flipping through his book to find prices. I kid you not, I was quoted about $1500 for parts and labor to fix my appliances. Absolutely outrageous prices! The technician then became irritated that I did not want to pay his prices for parts and labor and stated that he brought parts to fix everything but that he would not be going any further with diagnosis of my appliances if I was not going to pay for the complete repairs. I was able to order all 3 new parts for a grand total of $126 dollars and they were very easy to install. Long story short, if you are able to use a screw driver, order the parts and fix it yourself, don't waste your time or money."
