Reviews of Molly's Spirits
"I've seen stores going out of business with more beer on the shelves. The beer that was shelved was old. I walked out empty handed."
"Molly's Spirits is the trifecta: Great booze, great prices, great delivery (from 10a- 7p daily). Kids and dogs are on best behavior in store, knowing they'll be rewarded at check out with a lollipop or dog bone and a snuggle. What I personally love best about Molly's is the vibe. The customer base is fabulous and friendly. It's a great place to meet new friends and neighbors while shopping - or during one of the many free wine, beer, and spirits tasting every week. I hope to see you soon!:)"
"This place has been a frequent stop for my wife and I since moving to the DTC area, but I'm not coming back. The blonde woman cashier is unbearable, and it makes me anxious when I see her and know I'll have to interact with her, and she is there almost every time I go. I work with elderly people and wear a mask when I go in, and when I first started shopping here she constantly made passive-aggressive comments about it. Once she eventually seemed to be over that, she started making comments about how I don't have wrinkles at my age and "whatever you're doing is working." I'm just here to buy alcohol. I don't want people commenting on my appearance every time I come in, especially in front of other people. It makes me uncomfortable. And every single time she makes this huge deal about the card reader and how it's finicky and talks to me like I'm an idiot. I've never had a problem getting checked out by others, but every time with her it's this big annoying headache. My trips to this store are almost always unpleasant, and it sucks because everyone else working there is very nice and helpful."
"Update: Molly's feigned concern for our issue by posting a response to my negative review over a week ago. I reached out to them via the email they provided below on March 13. No surprise, I have not received any response. My wife and I have been going to Molly's for all our adult beverages since we moved to Denver four months ago. But we won't be going back. Two weeks ago I bought a $20ish bottle of Pinot Noir that was the last on the shelf. The bottle was a little scuffed up but appeared ok. When I opened the bottle a few days later, I discovered the bottle was fractured under the wrap on the neck. Of course the bottle was spoiled, not to mention dangerous. I photographed the bottle and safely disposed of it. When I returned to the store and asked about a replacement/refund, I was told that without bringing this dangerous bottle back to them, I was ineligible for anything other than a $6 discount on buying another bottle. The manager said that if he couldn't turn the bottle back in to get credit for it, then he couldn't help me anymore than that. Seriously? Thanks for letting me know your store's bottom line is more important than the health or satisfaction of your customers. I'll be taking our business to another store going forward."
"Excellent new location with incredible selection of local brews and spirits. Not to mention they have the largest chilled wine selection. They also offer delivery and in-house special tastings."
