Reviews of Fairview Apartments
"Don't rent from this crazy landlord. I came over to surprise my girlfriend, turns out she was on the bus on her way back. After sitting in the hallway for about 30 minutes, this crazy blonde lady (the landlord) comes around the corner and starts literally screaming at me to get off her property and calling me homeless. I told her I was visiting the tenants in 106-C, and the name of HER tenant. She continued screaming at me, calling me homeless (I'm only 19 and well dressed) and saying she knows the building well enough to know I'm not visiting (I've been coming here consistently for 2 weeks?). Once she kicked me off the property, the tenant I was visiting texted her and the issue was cleared up. Instead of coming to me and apologizing (she could see me from the front office still), she sent a much nicer older man out to welcome me back into the building. Staff is great, landlord is atrocious."
"I think about this place a lot. We were here for a year and had a great lease. Jennifer and Micah are outstanding, some of the best staff you could ever hope for. They work hard to make the place as amazing as possible. Sure, there are roaches and the upkeep could be better, but that's the nature of apartments, and the property's inability to get better funding from their corporate company. I know how it goes. The problem is that after a year of great tenancy, where we were happy with them and they were happy with us, the corporate group, Dunmire, decided it was a great idea to try and squeeze hundreds of dollars out of people already living paycheck to paycheck. I'm very disappointed because I wanted to keep giving them $1000+ per month, but they insisted on raising our rent over 20% over a single lease term. It's very frustrating, and I had to move just to keep a roof over my head. If you want to live here because the building is good enough and the staff cares, I'm right there with you. Unfortunately, be ready for Dunmire to jack your price up hundreds of dollars after just a few months. I wish the staff had more control here because it would have been a much better situation. I'm sorry you all are ran by a corporation that would rather lose most of their tenants so they can make a couple extra bucks."
"Lived here 3+ years and get told that there is a 40% rent increase and we need to let them know if we will be signing our new lease or be moving out by the 1st of November... (its the 21st of oct.) when asked if the rent increase was going to come with a nicer/remodeled apt. (our unit has had troubles and nothing ever seems to actually get fixed even though she says they will) I was told that I could pay $200 MORE then the new rent that is already being forced onto us (already almost $400 extra/month.) Homeless people everywhere, broken doors/ broken windows/ loud banging constantly, a trashed rec area we were told 3 years ago that there would be a Grill area, ect. and we have never seen that area. they will give you open promises to get you into a lease but don't expect them to hold their word. She also hardly ever seems to be in her office. (Good luck using the gym or putting money on your laundry card)"
"Bigger Apartment than you get for the price at most places. Dog friendly, which is hard to find now. Jennifer went out out of her way getting us into the apartment when we first moved back to Colorado Springs. It's hard to find an apartment here, because people don't want to move out. The resident's are friendly. We have an upstairs neighbor that is cool, and we never hear him, which is awesome in an apartment"
"Decent prices. Mostly nice tenants. Maintained. Dog park, playground, pool, laundry, community garden, community picnic area, non-smoking"
