"DO NOT live here. Save yourself a big headache and avoid this place. It looks great on the outside, but it's not a good place to live. Things went downhill when they changed management in early 2023 and most of the staff left, then a series of flood disasters hit the community in the spring of 2023, as well as extra 'community' fees being snuck on to the monthly bills. I had multiple catastrophes happen starting in May 2023 when a huge storm caused my unit to almost flood (pictures attached) and I called maintenance about the water on the front porch being so close to leaking inside, and they didn't care and wouldn't bring a sandbag or do anything as a precaution. About a week or two later, another strong storm rolled through and about 15 minutes in to the storm, water just streamed in under the front door frame and through the sides of the baseboard trim, and left the apartment a sopping wet mess. Camden maintenance brought in a water pump that night to help stop the water from streaming in, then had a flood restoration crew come out and bring in a dehumidifier and large fan - this dried everything out thankfully. About 2 weeks later, another large storm came through and once again, water streamed in through the trim underneath the door. I called the maintenance emergency line and nobody answered, then called the Camden Caley front office multiple times with no answer. I FINALLY got a call back from the front office, and they sent out their maintenance supervisor who just brought a broom and used it to push out the water that had ponded up around the front porch - NO flood restoration crews or any other interventions this time, and mold certainly started growing in the walls and baseboards (the unit started to smell like a moldy old basement.) I'm certain that the cracks in the foundation/brick (see pictures) and poor drainage of the outside slope kept causing this problem but Camden didn't care and would not fix it, and still hasn't taken care of the bad drainage. Another big issue that came about was that Camden started doing construction on my porch and other units in October of 2022 to give us a bigger patio with a small lawn, that was supposed to be enclosed with a fence. They came to my unit in Oct. 2022 and ripped out the shrubs, tore up the grass, made a muddy rectangular perimeter and then left and never came back until May 2023 to complete the project (I was left with no privacy this entire time because the shrubs and plants were pulled up.) When they returned, they put up a rusty wrought iron fence, and artificial grass that looked like an awful putting green. I was left with a worse porch than before because now there was no privacy, plus the grass and lawn around it was the main area that most people took their dogs to use the restroom (and not the dog park.) I was so relieved to move out of this place and be done, but unfortunately the problems continued after moving out. The week after my move out, I received a message from the apartment manager (Stephanie) asking for my forwarding address to send my deposit refund check, and I provided it. Well, 2+ months went by and I never received the check at my new address. I finally went in person to the Camden Caley office and talked to Olivia about the status of my deposit, and it turned out that my forwarding address was never input into their system (by the manager) 2+ months before. Olivia told me that she would reach out and find out about my deposit and get back to me within a day or two. 5 days went by and I heard nothing. I then emailed Camden Caley and asked about my refund and another staff member (Marie) said she would reach out to the Final Accounts team to figure out the status of the refund and get it sorted out. Four days went by and once again, nobody had done anything or gotten back to me. Finally after emailing again and asking for assistance and requesting help from a higher up manager, the manager (Stephanie) got my refund mailed out to me nearly 3 months after my move out, when it should have been mailed out about 2 weeks after move out."
"It's been a difficult few months here. I will be moving to a different location soon. From neighbors who steal your valet trash can and leave anonymous notes to neighbors who stomp on your ceiling because you "slam" your door. (Never slammed! I even has maintenance come verify that my door was fine and it shuts normally.) Dog poop everywhere. Stay on the sidewalks! Trash everywhere. Possible people staying behind dumpsters in the back. (There is debris there that makes is look like that's happening!). It's definitely gotten worse since I moved here in August. I had hoped more action would be taken against those who don't follow community rules. I like the neighborhood. Never had a problem with that. Close to stores and convenient walking areas. I really wish things could be different here. There are some nice staff members. I appreciated that part! Maintenance came when asked. Parking wasn't monitored, which left it hard to park at times when you did have a sticker. Hopefully things turn around here and don't continue to go downhill."
"So far so good! Very helpful staff; Olivia and Marie have been really welcoming and responsive to all my needs. I had one minor issue with the fireplace not starting, and it was taken care of immediately by Taylor, from maintenance. The apartment and complex are lovely, and I look forward to living here!"
"Been in Camden since a year. Always love this community and will. The front desk people are awesome. Marie is always the best. The maintenance team is awesome. Jeremy, Kevin and now Greg they are super great."
"So many things to love about Camden Caley. #1 Beautiful well kept greenery everywhere #2 Wonderful pool and spa area (although at times it smelt like cigarettes, I know they are doing their best to remedy these things) #3 top notch maintenance — Topher, Alex, & Greg are the best! #4 Sophia— she has been the best leasing consultant I’ve dealt with at a property in a long time. Kind, patient, matter of fact, gets things done in a timely manner, attentive to residents needs, and ultimately she cares about a job well done and happy residents. 5 stars for Sophia alone! #5 Flexibility on Camdens part, their 30-day guarantee is what all leasing companies should be doing. To ensure residents are happy with what they are spending their hard earned money on. That’s all I’ve got. To be honest, prices are extremely high across the board anywhere you look in Denver and even outside of Denver. It just is what it is right now. So if you find yourself landing at Camden Caley, you will be in good hands!"
