"Accidentally locked myself out of my apt during the day, so I went down to the leasing office to find someone to unlock it. Yet no one was there. They had this sign up saying they were showing apartments and would be back by 10. I went there around 2:30pm and waited. My other option was spending $100-$300 for lockout service during hours the office is open. And when I tried to call the office there was no answer. Been waiting over for over 2 hours for someone to be in the office because I don’t want to spend that kind of money when someone from the office should be able to open it for me. Update*: no one ever showed up. There was no message and no sign that stated the office wouldn’t be open today. I waited 3+ hours just to have to spend $250 on the lockout service anyway. Unprofessional is an understatement"
"I've lived here for almost three years now and it's been the best rental experience i've ever had. the maintenance is speedy and has also been the friendliest interactions i've ever had with maintenance. all the staff seem genuinely happy to help and work there which makes a big difference. they're always so helpful even when i have the smallest ask. i never feel like im intruding when i go down to the office for their help. Location is perfect, always plenty of parking available for guests and it's right by speer and many other parks which is great for dog walking. i've become the designated host with my friends because of how central and easy it is to park and get to the apt. easy access to the highways or to speer to drive up to rino or to drive down quickly to cherry creek for the mall or target, etc. walking distance to trader joe's too!! i see a lot of complaints in the google reviews about things being dirty, etc. i'll admit that the dog run is pretty bad but otherwise i think the apartment complex is actually pretty clean and if there are times when it's not it's certainly not management's fault. and i've never seen it be that bad. the few times ive seen garbage piled up, etc. it's usually only there for a day or two before it's cleaned up. i also saw someone comment about how thin the walls are but ive never been able to hear my neighbors at all either upstairs or next door?? in fact my friends when they're over have commented on the fact that they never hear anyone while hanging out. when you're in the hallways you can definitely hear things inside apartments but while in the units it's been my experience that the walls seem to be well insulated. sometimes it is noisy on the streets with the motorcycles and the ambulances but it really isn't that often at all. so maybe it's just a preference thing or one of those things where everyone's standards of quiet is different."
"I have had a great experience so far in my 6 months at Via. The staff is friendly (though they do take some time getting back to emails), and the maintenance crew is incredibly quick to respond to service requests. I enjoy the walkability of the neighborhood, and the few neighbors I know I have had fine conversations with. I recommended a friend to move into the apartment complex, and she has enjoyed her stay so far as well."
"Would give zero stars if possible. Read the Yelp reviews. I usually try to see the silver lining in any situation but Via made that impossible. This place is dirty (see photos), unsafe, and management goes out of their way to be unhelpful and incompetent. The hallways and elevators are dirty, the dog run area constantly is filled to the brim with dog waste, packages go missing, etc. To make matters worse, my motorcycle was stolen from the garage, which isn't a surprise because the door is constantly stuck open and people from the neighborhood (which includes, on the same block, a homeless shelter and needle exchange program) wander in and break into and steal vehicles. Management has refused to take responsibility for the premises and fix the issues that led to my bike being stolen. They said "crime has no zip code" when being reminded of their duty of reasonable care in providing a safe and secure premises. Avoid at all costs."
"PLEASE DO NOT LIVE HERE. Take your hard-earned money and go find somewhere else. I was in this building for several years and it has gotten worse every year. There are SO many issues. The building makes you think this is a great deal with nice units, new appliances, gym, pool, garage, etc. But you won't realize this is a flimsy facade until you've moved in. - First off, the walls and floors are SO THIN. You can hear every footstep and conversation. You can hear dogs barking constantly in apartments that are on other floors that aren't even above or below you. My neighbors literally scream and yell at all hours, and I have been woken up by loud parties at 2am more times than I can count. I have called security and notified the management many times but no one does anything. I have to wear earplugs to bed if I want to make sure I get a good night's sleep. You can hear so much road noise too, especially when the motorcycle groups like to loudly drag race on Lincoln. People smoke inside and cause the fire alarm to go off late at night. It is never quiet in this building. - The security issue is a SERIOUS problem. My bikes were stolen in the locked bike rooms and the management didn't do a thing. They said they don't have any security cameras near the bike rooms or door where they broke in (why not???) so they don't know who did it. Oh well! They just got the insurance payment to fix the doors that were damaged by the thieves and didn't bother to update their security system. They didn't even replace the bike cables that were snipped which are still there. The garage doors are CONSTANTLY broken. I had to yell at a homeless man to stop taking a dump by my car. :( - The people who live here are so dirty, trashy, and disrespectful, especially the dog owners. There is poop and pee in the stairwell all the time since people can't be bothered to potty train their dogs. The dog run is usually filthy and it makes the pool deck stink since the smell blows over. In the summer, the smell is nauseating. The maintenance tries their best to keep it clean but people don't pick up after their dogs and let their dogs poop and pee in the flower beds where it is NEVER PICKED UP. Seriously must be poops from last year there. The amount of times I've seen people just walk their dog that just pooped and peed through the gym because they are too lazy to walk around the "long way" is appalling. Most of the flower beds (even those not near the run) don't even grow anything because it's full of poop and pee and people let their dogs go to the bathroom anywhere instead of keeping it to the run. - Speaking of badly behaved dogs, there are so many aggressive dogs in this building. I had a huge dog fight right outside my door (luckily not involving my dog) with horrible screaming (human and dog) and the baseboards and walls had blood on them. I've had dogs try to attack my dog for waiting its turn at the run countless times. - For how expensive this building is, so many small things are broken or not tended to. The building rarely has wipes to clean gym equipment. For the longest time, they put hand soap instead of hand sanitizer in the gym. The bathrooms on the 3rd floor never have soap. Certain gym equipment has been broken or missing like one of the elliptical machines or dumbbells (although I can't blame the building since I suspect residents steal things). The gym is randomly so hot you can’t exercise there (80+ degrees) with no way to change it and you can’t open the garage door. The hot tub bubbles don't work anymore. The pool is often full of bugs with no net to clean it out yourself. Randomly my water pressure has gotten so low I couldn’t wash my hair properly TWICE and they had to come fix it. - The edge of the carpets in the apartment have super sharp metal bits poking out that stab me in the feet. I’ve had to use pliers to snipe off the sharp end. There are too many negatives to outweigh the few positives (nice kitchen and bathroom, quick maintenance help, good restaurants, and dog park nearby). So glad I finally moved out!"
