"I do not reccomend living here. I’ve had a bike and package stolen and emailed the property manager and they stop responding and do not address the issue. The Dryer doesn’t vent and causes moisture buildup and potential for mold, also a problem I’ve reported and have been ignored about."
"9/9 Edit - And now my roommate's bike is gone from the bike room...it's truly just one thing after another with this place. DO NOT LIVE HERE! I honestly can't emphasize this enough...if there was a zero star rating, that's what this place would get. 9/7 - Update in response to Cornerstone's reply: we were given 2 days to complete the "move-in conditions" form. That is not enough time to find problems in an apartment, as we were concentrating on moving our property in. I submitted a work order promptly after moving in to fix our shower (water does not get very hot), bedroom door (falling apart), dryer blows straight into the apartment (was told "part was ordered"), and missing pieces for our dishwasher (still waiting on those as well). It's been a month and these still haven't been fixed. As for the AC, the apartment has been at 80-85 degrees since we moved in, so no. The basement units do not stay cool. And the "please contact us directly" comment is useless because I always end up having to leave a voicemail that never gets returned, and my emails never get responses. To top it all off, since my initial review our utilities have now been increased without any communication (utilities we thought the apartment was paying for). So, my initial statement stands, and my frustration is increasing by the day. I will never live with Cornerstone again, and I will make sure anyone I talk to that is considering Cornerstone knows this is how tenants are treated. Initial review: PLEASE READ REVIEWS REGARDING CORNERSTONE. Had multiple problems upon move-in/first day. Still haven’t been fixed a month after move in. Already had our first power outage within first month. We don’t have AC (even though we were told we were supposed to during our tour) and it’s 80 degrees inside…lived at my last place for 5 years with ZERO issues, but had to move due to renovations. Will not renew ever with Cornerstone. Told many things during our tour that did not end up being true. Truly appalling the way this place is managed. DO NOT LIVE WITH CORNERSTONE."
"The building is old and the apartments are in poor condition with a fresh coat of paint slapped on them. This building was taken over by Cornerstone which should be avoided at all cost since they avoid responsibility for anything and will just straight up ignore you if you question anything. Micheal Halligan is especially great at ghosting you if you ask anything of him."
"Well below average property with terrible leasing service. I was approved for a unit that had a random hole above the toilet when I toured and asked the leasing agent why was it there he brushed it off and seemed in a rush for other tours. Zac was my leasing agent I would not recommend him at all. Save your money and time!!!"
"I had a poor experience living in this apartment complex. The only reason why I'm not giving this building one star is because of the maintenance team — they were super responsive when my closet doors broke and fixed the heat when temps dropped below 60° in the apartment in January. But that's where the good stuff ends. The management company (Cornerstone) removed our parking mid-lease and overcharged us for the tiniest cleaning issues that could have been easily handled with a quick spray of Lysol. Firstly, Cornerstone removed my included parking mid-lease. This change was incredibly inconvenient and disruptive, especially when you consider the consistent street sweeping tickets given to street parkers. The removal of the parking happened when Cornerstone bought the building about six months into my lease when they mentioned, "The owner is implementing these changes." They then started charging $120/mo (lowered to $60 later when they sold virtually no spots) for reserved parking in a tiny, exposed lot. This change felt like a complete breach of trust and a violation of the basic amenities promised to us when we signed the lease. Cornerstone mentioned that my lease gave them the right "to change the parking terms for the complex throughout the lease." Yet, my cost basis was clearly disclosed upon signing, with no additional parking charges. I'll let you judge the fairness of their character in handling this situation. To make matters worse, the complex charged us $45 for trivial cleaning issues like rice grains, small smudges, and dust upon move-out. We did a thorough clean of the unit before move-out. Yet, management felt it was still necessary to charge us exorbitant fees for a "mess". In my opinion, these issues were so minor, and would've been missed by any reasonable person cleaning. There's no way it took them no more than a few minutes to wipe them up with minimal effort. The images they sent me of the "mess" are attached to this message. I asked to be assigned a more reasonable rate and was told, "we will report these charges to collections if they aren't paid". Again, I'll let you judge whether these charges are fair. Overall, I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone. Their true character was shown in these issues, and I'm just thankful that nothing else major came up throughout the lease. The complex is more interested in taking advantage of its tenants than in providing a comfortable living environment. Save yourself the hassle and find a better place to live."
